Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the filling up of the post of “Project Assistant” on a contract basis in the ICMR-funded Adhoc project entitled “Investigating the effects of microglial miRNAs in modulating blood-brain barrier microenvironment throughout glioma progression” under Dr. Sagar Acharya, (Principal Investigator), Assistant Professor, Dept. of Zoology, Vidyasagar University and Co-PI Prof. Keshab Ch. Mandal, Dept. of Microbiology, Vidyasagar University, Midnapore.

Educational Qualification : Vidyasagar University Recruitment Project Assistant

Postgraduate degree in Zoology/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Life sciences Allied subjects with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized University.

Job Description and desired knowledge

The candidate should have prior experience in molecular biology techniques, immunoblotting, nucleic acid isolation, PCR, and primer designing. Preference will be given to the candidates having knowledge of working with Real-time PCR and Electron microscopy.

Age limit: As per the rules of GOI

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- (Consolidated) per month

Tenure: Three years or the duration of the project
