Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (residential co-educational school system under Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Ministry of Education, Govt. of India), invites applications from eligible candidates for empanelment and engagement of the services PGTs/TGTs purely on contract basis for the academic session 2024-25 in JNVs run in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh & Odisha through Online on or before 26.04.2024.

JNVs being residential in nature make it mandatory for the teachers to reside in the Vidyalaya campus to attend residential school duties besides teaching.

UPPER AGE LIMIT – Upper age limit for all categories of teachers is 50 Years as on 1st July 2024 of the year of engagement. For Ex NVS teachers maximum age limit will be 65 Years as on 1st July 2024.

  7. As per eligibility & requirements candidates will be asked for document verification and personal interaction on physical mode only (not online), further information with regard to this will be published on NVS RO Bhopal website.
  8. Eligible candidates will be called for documents verification & personal talk in different venues ( State of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh & Odisha) subject wise and the call letter will be sent byemail only by the Principal of respective Venue JNV.
  9. Candidates shall bring printed and self-attested copy of the application form at the time of documents verification at the venue.
  10. Candidates are directed to visit the website of NVS RO Bhopal and respective Venue JNV on a regular basis for updates.
  11. Candidates shall bring self-attested, photocopies of both sides of all required documents and mark list of each semester/year of degree/post-graduation/diploma/experience certificates/awards/NCC certificate etc. with originals t the time of document verification at the venue.
  12. State wise merit list will be prepared for posting against available vacancies in the concerned states.
  13. Candidates must bring any Government issued ID proof with its photocopy at the time of document verification.
  14. The cut-off date for determining the eligibility will be 01st July 2024.

15. The personal interaction on physical mode for all subject shall be conducted in the following venues :

1) For Madhya Pradesh State- JNV,Ratibad,Distt.Bhopal- for PGT-Hindi/English/Maths/Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology and TGT-Hindi/English/Maths/Science/TGT-Art & Vocational Tr.

2) For Madhya Pradesh State- JNV,Shyampur,Distt.Sehore-for PGT-History/Geography/Economics /Commerce/Computer Science and TGT-Social Study/TGT-Computer Science/PET(Male & Female)

    3) For Chhattisgarh State- JNV,Manacmp, Distt. Raipur (C.G.)- for All subject except (PGT-History Commerce/PET- Male & Female/TGT-Music/TGT-Art/TGT-3rd Lang. & Vocational Tr.)

    4) For Odisha State- JNV,Mundali, Distt. Cuttack (Odisha)- for All subject except (PGT- History/Commerce/ PET-Male & Female/TGT-Art/Librarian & Vocational Tr.)

    16. The interviews for the entire Region for the under mentioned posts will be conducted in the single selection center as the number of vacancies is very less-

    1. Interviews for the posts of PGT(History), PGT(Commerce), PET-Male & Female, will be held at JNV,Sehore(M.P.) only.
    2. Interviews for the posts of TGT-Art & Vocational Teacher will be held at JNV,Bhopal(M.P.) only.
    3. Interviews    for    the    posts    of    TGT-Music    &    TGT-Oriya)          will   be     held     at JNV,Cuttack(Odisha) only
    4. Interviews for the post of Librarian will be held JNV,Raipur(C.G.) only.

    The candidates should be short listed for personal interaction 1:5 ration (05 time against anticipated vacancies) except TGT(Computer Science). For TGT(C.S.) candidates short listed for personal interaction 1:3 ration(3 times against anticipated vacancies)after considering allotment of marks for educational and other qualifications.

    NVS reserves the right to modify the place of personal interaction for subjects notified, if required .

    Post wise elective subjects and Languages in the combination of subjects are as under :

    1. For TGT (Hindi) : Hindi as a subject in all the three years of Degree course.
    • For TGT (English): English as a subject in all the three years of Degree course.
    • For TGT (Maths) –
    • Bachelor Degree in Maths along with Physics and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.
    • In case of such Universities which provide for only two subjects out of the six as mentioned above in the final year of graduation, the candidate should have studied Maths and Physics in the final year of examination and three subjects, viz, Maths, Physics and Chemistry / Electronics / Computer Science / Statistics in the first and second years of graduation.
    • Candidates who have passed B.Sc. degree with Honours in Maths subject would be considered eligible only if they have studied Physics and Chemistry / Electronics / Computer Science / Statistics in first and second year of the course. Candidates with B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics or Chemistry are not eligible for the post of TGT (Maths).
    • For TGT (Science)– Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
    • The candidate should have studied Botany, Zoology and Chemistry during all the three years of study in graduation.
    • In case of such Universities which provide for only two subjects in the final year of graduation, the candidates should have studied any of the two subjects out of Botany, Zoology and Chemistry in the final year of examination and all the three subjects, viz. Botany, Zoology and Chemistry in the first and second years of graduation.
    • In case of Honours Degree in any of the above mentioned three subjects, the candidate must have studied other two subjects in the first and second year of the course.
    • For TGT (Social Studies):
    1. The candidate should have studied any of the two subjects out of the following subject combinations at graduation level :
    1. History with Geography/ Economics/ Political Science OR
    2. Geography with History/ Economics/ Political Science (in other words candidates should have studied any two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science, in which one must be either History or Geography)
    • History/Geography as above, should have been studied for all three years in the Graduation.
    • In case of Honours Degree in History the candidate should have studied Geography/ Economics/ Political Science in 1st and 2nd years. Similarly in case of Honours degree in Geography, the candidate should have studied History/ Economics/ Political Science in 1st and 2nd year. Candidates with B.A.(Honours) in Economics or Political Science are not eligible for the post of TGT (S.St.)
