The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by the Ministry of Education MoE (Earlier Ministry of Human Resource Development- MHRD) as an independent/ autonomous, self-reliant, and self-sustained premier testing organization.
It has been entrusted by UGC and the Ministry of Education, Government of India with the responsibility of conducting the UGC-NET examination. To assess competence of candidates for admissions and recruitment has always been a challenge in terms of matching with research based international standards, efficiency, transparency and error free delivery.

The Test will comprise of two papers as given below:

UGC National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) December 2020 Cycle (May 2021)
The Test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.
The candidates who desire to appear in the Test may see the details in the Information Bulletin for UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) which will be available on the website www.nta.ac.in, and https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in from 02 February, 2021.
The online application form will open on 02 February 2021. Candidates who desire to appear for the exam are required to apply online between the dates 02 February 2021 to 02 March 2021. The Application Fees can be paid upto 03 March 2021.
