EOnline applications are invited from bonafide citizens of India for selection of candidates for recruitment to 22(twenty two) posts of Assistant Professor in Kokborok in Government (General) Degree Colleges, Tripura (Group-A, Gazetted) Government of Tripura in Rs.57,700/-(57,700-182,400) in the Academic Level-10 of the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC under Education (Higher) Department.

Essential Qualifications: Tripura Public Service Commission Recruitment

A) A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Kokborok subject from an Indian University.

(2) If the subject for which NET/SLET/SET/is not conducted by UGC/CSIR. following method will be adopted :

(i) A written examination will be arranged by TPSC for assigning 10 marks in API score as per Table 3B of Annexure II of UGC Regulations.2018.

(ii) The minimum qualifying marks will be 55% (5% marks will be relaxed for ST and SC candidates) in the Written Examination conducted by TPSC. The application of the candidates will not be considered for short listing if a candidates scores less than the qualifying marks.

(iii) Calculating API Score: 10 marks will be awarded for scoring 65% & above and 5 marks for scoring less than 65% but above the qualifying marks in written examination for all categories of candidates.

(iv) Marks obtained in the written examination will have no bearing in preparation of final merit list, except in API score sheet.

C) The selection procedure is enclosed as Annexure- ‘A’.

(II) Relaxation Allowed

A relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at the Bachelor’s as well as the Master’s level for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Differently abled

(a) Blindness and Low vision;

(b) Deaf and Hard of Hearing:

(c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured. Dwarfism, acid – attack victim and muscular dystrophy:

(d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness;

(e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf- blindness)) for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.

A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph. D Degree holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

A relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university at the Master’s level shall also be considered valid.

The time taken by candidates to acquire M. Phil and /or Ph. D Degree shall not be considered as teaching/ research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions. Further the period of active service spent on pursuing Research Degree simultaneously with teaching assignment without taking any kind of leave, shall be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of direct recruitment/ promotion.

Age:- Tripura Public Service Commission Recruitment

Maximum 40 years as on 08.06.2022. Relaxable by 5(five) years in case of SC/ST/PH candidates and Government servants. However, the SC/ST/Govt. Servant will not get the further relaxation of 5(five) years over and above relaxation of 5 (five) years which they are already entitled to get as SC/ST candidates.

The last date of submission of online application is 08.06.2022 (up to 5.30 PM). The application (s) received after the closing date will not be entertained.

(2) Selection procedure: The selection procedure will be governed as per Annexure-‘A’ of the notified scheduled of the posts of Assistant Professor in Kokborok, Govt. General Degree Colleges.

The selection process will be held in two successive stages namely- i) Written examination- 100 marks and ii) Interview – 15 marks.

I. Syllabus submitted for written examination (100 marks) may included:

a) 10 marks related to Tribal Literature of North East and General Knowledge.

b) 20 marks related to Teaching and Research Aptitude.

c) 70 marks related to Kokborok subject.

II. The qualifying cut off marks will be 55% for UR Category Candidates & 50% for ST/SC candidates.

Interview (15 marks)

(a) A limited no. of candidates, maximum 5(five) times of total posts (in category wise) will be selected merit wise on the basis of the result of the Written Examination, subject to securing minimum qualifying marks (55% for UR candidates and 50% for ST/SC candidates)

(b) It is also mentioned here that candidate(s) scoring marks equal to that of the last qualified candidate in the written Test shall also be called for next stage of the recruitment process.

(c) The final selection will be made in order of merit on the basis of the marks obtained by a candidate in the written examination in agreegrate ( 85% weightage) and by adding the marks obtained in the interview/ personality test. If a candidate remains absent in the personality test, his/her candidature will not be considered for final selection.

(3) Other Important information: Tripura Public Service Commission

1. Online Application Portal:

(a) Candidates will have to submit application through Online Application Portal only. The Commission will not entertain any hard copy application. Before submission of online application, read carefully the instruction to candidates regarding filling up of online application.

(b) Online Application Portal will be available on Commission’s website from 07.05.2022 to 08.06.2022 (5.30 PM). Before applying for the post, an applicant shall register his/her bio- data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission’s Website viz. Once applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID. Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through the Commission’s website.

(c) Applicants should avoid submitting multiple applications. However, if due to any unavoidable circumstances, any applicant submits multiple applications then he/she must ensure that the application with latest Receipt Number is complete in all respect.

(d) In case of multiple applications, the application with latest Receipt Number shall only be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one Receive Number shall not be adjusted against any other Receipt Number.

2. (a) Candidates are not required to upload with their applications any certificate in support of their claims regarding Age, Educational Qualifications, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PH), EX-Service Men etc.

(b) Applicants must be in possession of the prescribed minimum qualification(s) for the post on the closing date for submission of application as mentioned in the advertisement. Their admission at all the stages of examination for which they are admitted for the Written Examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of admission certificate to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. Written examination qualified candidates will be asked to submit all required documents along with API score sheet (As per annexure-II Table-3B) at the Commission’s office. On scrutiny of documents if a candidate found ineligible as per terms and condition of the advertisement (including prescribed recruitment fees) his/ her candidature will be rejected.

(c) If the application is not routed through proper channel, at the day of interview candidates will have to submit ‘no objection’ certificate failing which his/her candidature will not be considered for preparation of final merit list. In that no-objection certificate, it is to be clearly mentioned that your employer has ‘No-objection’ if you are considered for recruitment to the post for which you have applied for.

Rate of Recruitment Fees: Tripura Public Service Commission

(a) Group-A Gazetted Posts: – Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred) only for General Candidates and Rs. 350/-(Rupees three hundred & fifty) only for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates.

(b) SC/ST Candidates of other States (not recognized by the Govt. of Tripura) should apply for unreserved vacancy as general candidate along with recruitment fee prescribed for general candidates. Recruitment fee so deposited is non-refundable.

(c) If a candidate submits incomplete application in respect of terms & condition of the Advertisement and without requisite recruitment fee, his/her candidature will be rejected.

(5) Decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate at any stage of the selection process shall be final.

(6) Assessment and evaluation of the answer scripts done by the Commission shall be final and shall not be open to scrutiny by any external authority.

(7) Candidates are instructed to visit the Commission’s website for information regarding steps of recruitment process time to time.

(8) The Examination venue shall be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of Examination. No candidate shall be allowed entry into the examination venue after closure of entry. (10) Mobile Phone/Electronic Gadgets etc. are banned in the Campus of the Interview Premises. Any Phone/ Electronic Gadget found in possession of any candidate in the Interview Premises shall be confiscated forthwith and he/she may be debarred from appearing at the interview and also for the Examination(s) to be conducted by the Commission in future violation of such instruction will be dealt as per Law.

(11) Entry in the Examination hall with Jacket, Coat, full over & this type of garments will not be allowed.
