NBHM Scholarship Schemes 2024
NBHM is happy to announce the opening of another round of selection for its Doctoral and Master’s Scholarship Schemes:
- Detailed Advertisement: NBHM is happy to announce that the monthly stipend amounts for the Doctoral Scholarship have been enhanced to ₹ 35,000 (for the first two years) and ₹ 42,000 (for subsequent years) with effect from 01 January 2023. (The corresponding amounts ₹ 31,000 and ₹ 35,000 mentioned in the advertisement stand revised.) HRA is payable in addition as per GoI norms, as mentioned in the advertisement.

As in previous years, the selection process shall consist of two phases, the first of which is a Written Test (hereafter called the “test”). The test is scheduled for Saturday, 20 January 2024, 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, IST. (This date has been arrived at by applying the following formula which we intend to follow in the future as well: the unique Saturday in the date range 19–25 January, both inclusive.)
The second phase of selection is an online interview, for which candidates shall be shortlisted based on the test scores.
As in the previous round of selection (2023), the same test shall serve towards selection for both scholarships in the present round too.
At the time of application, applicants may opt to be considered for only one of the scholarships (either one) or for both.
Separate interview shortlists shall be drawn up for the two scholarships, based on the test scores.

Who is eligible for NBHM Scholarship Schemes 2024?
Scholarship must be mathematically motivated and hold a master’s degree in (pure or applied) mathematics or statistics or must be final-year students of these degree courses. They must have a good academic record first class or equivalent grade in all years from the Plus Two level to the present.

What is the total marks for NBHM?
Since NBHM has changed its pattern from 2019, I will tell according to the new pattern. For the past 3–4 years, NBHM is not revealing its cut-off (my observation). So as you can see in the question paper of 2019, the total marks were 120.
