 Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations,

     Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Master’s Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.   OR   B. An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the SCI or UGC CARE-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Notification No. F.1- 2/2017(EC/PS) Dated 18th July, 2018.

Note:

  1. Equivalence for PhD is based on publication of 5 International SCI Journal papers, each Journal having a cumulative impact index of not less than 2.0, with incumbent as the main author and all 5 publications being in the authors’ area of specialization.
  2. PhD should be from a recognized University.
  3. Qualifications as above shall be mandatory, and no relaxation is admissible. Mere possession of the same does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
  4. If a class/division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/division. If a 10 Grade Point System is adopted, the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks. GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. Minimum qualifications and/or experience are subject to rules/ regulations/ norms/ directives including amendments in the present regulations as stipulated by the AICTE/ UGC / State Govt. or any other Competent Authority applicable to such recruitments.
  2. Applicants must fulfill the minimum qualifications and/or experience prescribed for the posts. Period spent by the candidates to acquire Ph. D. degree shall not be considered as research experience.
  3. It shall be the responsibility of the candidates to assess their eligibility for the post for which they are applying in accordance with the prescribed qualifications and/or experience and submit the application duly filled-in, along with the desired information and documents as per the advertisement. Suppression of information, submission of fake documents, providing false or misleading information or canvassing in any manner on part of the candidates shall lead to their disqualification. In case, it is detected at any time in the future, even after appointment, that the candidate was not eligible, appointment of the candidate shall be liable to termination forthwith as per this clause. In case of any ambiguity in the recruitment rules in general and eligibility for any post, the decision of the University shall be final.
  4. Equivalence/ relevance or appropriateness of nomenclatures of degrees in Engineering and Technology for recruitment to the teaching positions shall be decided on the basis of AICTE Notification No. 175 F. No. 27/RIFD/Pay//01/2017-18 dated 28.04.2017 and the clarifications equivalence/ relevance or appropriateness of nomenclatures of degrees in Engineering and Technology for recruitment wide F.No. 27/AICTE/P&AP/Nomenclature/03/2020-21 dated 23.10.2020.For the relevancy of CSE and IT the majordiscipline shall be Computer Science and Engineering. Further all the UG and PG degrees defined in nomenclatures for CSE and IT Department.
  5. Past experience rendered by a candidate shall only be counted if such services fulfill the necessary requirements laid down in Clause 10 of UGC Notification No. 271 F.1-2/2017(EC/PS) dated 18.07.2018 and Clause 2.25 of AICTE Regulation, 2019 F. No. 61-1/RIFD/7th CPC/2016-17 dated 1st March, 2019. Such as follows:
    • The essential qualifications of the post held were not lower than the qualifications prescribed by the AICTE/UGC for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, as the case may be. The post is/was in an equivalent grade or of the pre-revised scale of pay as the post of Assistant Professor (Lecturer) Associate Professor (Reader) and Professor.The concerned Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor should possess the same minimum qualifications as prescribed by the AICTE/UGC for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, as the case may be.The post was filled in accordance with the prescribed selection procedure as laid down in the Regulations of the University/State Government/Central Government/ Institutions concerned, for such appointments.
    • The previous appointment was not as guest lecturer (faculty) for any duration.
    • The previous Ad-hoc or Temporary or contractual service (by whatever nomenclature it may be called) shall be counted for direct recruitment and for promotion, provided that:the essential qualifications of the post held were not lower than the qualifications prescribed by the AICTE/UGC for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, as the case may be.the incumbent was appointed on the recommendation of a duly constituted Selection Committee/Selection Committee constituted as per the rules of the respective university/Institutions.
    • the incumbent was drawing total gross emoluments not less than the monthly gross salary of a regularly appointed Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, as the case may be; and

For the case of researchOrganisations /Industry the calculation of experience shall be counted with equivalent post to University/Institutions such as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor as the case may be. The gross emoluments should not be less than to assistant professor /Associate professor as the case may be.

Candidate has to submit the Form 16 and ITR of relevant years for the calculations of the previous experiences. Experience certificates clearly mentioning pay scale, period of service, name of the post whether full time/ part time, whether regular/contract/adhoc basis, will be required to be submitted by the candidate.

Experience Certificates lacking any of the above aspects will not be considered. Experience certificate must be issued by competent authority of the Organisation/University/Institution or his/her nominee as directed.

  1. The cutoff date for determining the eligibility shall be the last date of submission of online application form i.e., 28/02/2024. Candidates not possessing the prescribed qualification and/or experience as on the last date of online application shall not be considered in any case.
  2. The qualification and experiences prescribed above are the minimum and mere possession of the same shall not entitle a candidate to be called for written test/ interview.
  3. Applications that are incomplete in any respect, not submitted through the prescribed link, or received after the last date shall not be entertained.

  6. The University reserves the right:
    • To increase/decrease the number of posts at the time of interview/selection and make appointments accordingly.
    • To withdraw the advertisement either partly or fully at any time without assigning any reason.
    • To fill or not to fill up some or all the posts advertised for any reasons whatsoever.
    • To alter/insert any corrections/additions in the advertisement on the website, if required, before the last date prescribed for submission of online applications.
    • To cancel any communication made to a candidate in case of any inadvertent error in the process of selection that is detected at any stage even after the issuance of appointment letter.
  1. The Educational Qualifications will be as per the Prevailing AICTE/UGC/other Regulatory bodies guidelines.
  2. Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. from foreign Universities should enclose “Equivalence Certificate”, issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, without which their candidature will not be considered and application will be rejected. However, the persons who have acquired Ph.D. degree from Foreign University through nomination by MHRD’s Foreign scholarship programme will be exempted from the Equivalency Certificate.
  3. As for UGC, AICTE and U.P. Government norms/ regulations issued time to time.
  4. EWS candidates are required to submit a valid certificate in prescribed format of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and duly issued by the Competent Authority.
  5. Candidates already in employment are required to submit the “No Objection Certificate” at the time of submitting online application form or at the time of interview.
  6. Experience and Qualifications will be reckoned as on the last date of submission of online application form.
  7. Application fee shall be Rs. 2500/- for General, OBC and EWS candidate and Rs. 1250/- for SC/ST&PwDCandidates.All the fees shall be payable online only.
  8. Number and nature of the vacancies may change. No claim shall be admissible arising out of change in nature and/or number of posts advertised.
  9. Print out of online application form must be supported by self-attested copies of marks sheets/certificates/ degrees/caste certificate/age certificate/ experience certificate/no objection certificate/list of titles, books, research papers, articles, publications, patents etc. as mentioned in application form. A passport size self-attested photograph should be affixed on the application form in the space provided.
  10. The recruitment process can be cancelled/ suspended/ terminated without assigning any reasons. The decision of the University shall be final, and no appeal shall be entertained.
  11. Employed candidates must send their applications through proper channel. However, an advance copy may be sent to reach before the last date and the application duly forwarded through proper channel must reach within 15 days from the last date of submitting online application failing which the candidature shall stand cancelled automatically. No communication in this regard be entertained.
  12. Candidates called for written test/interview shall not be entitled for any T.A./D.A. Candidates called for interview shall have to essentially come with the original documents in support of their claim in application form and as prescribed in interview letter, failing which they shall not be considered for interview.
  13. Candidates belonging to the Category of Schedule Caste (SC) / Schedule Tribe (ST) / Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Economic Weaker Section (EWS) of UTTAR PRADESH are only eligible for reservation in respective Category. Such candidates shall have to produce the category certificate as proof of being for respective category. Candidates from OBC/EWS category shall have to produce OBC/EWS category certificate issued on or after date 01.04.2023. Candidates failing to produce the valid category certificate as prescribed by U.P. Govt. shall not be allowed to appear in interview and University will not be responsible for the consequences arising out of it.
  14. The online application process shall start on 20/01/2024 and the last date for filling online application is 28/02/2024
  15. Addendum/ corrigendum/ notices to this advertisement, if any, shall be published only on the University website (http://www.mmmut.ac.in) and will not be published in the newspapers. Therefore, candidates are advised to visit the University website regularly.
  16. Candidates selected against the regular posts shall be initially appointed on probation, period of which shall be two years in case of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor, and one year in case of Professor. Probation period is subject to extension if the performance is not satisfactory. However, the University reserves the right to make appointment for limited period on any of such posts.
  17. Last date to submit online applications is 28/02/2024. Print out of the completed online application form submitted through the prescribed link with proof of prescribed fee deposition and all necessary enclosures/ documents should be sent to the Registrar, Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur – 273010 (U.P.) through Registered/ Speed Post only so that it reaches latest by 05.00 p.m. on 11/03/2024. Applications received after 11/03/2024, 05:00 p.m. shall not be considered. Candidate must write the Advt. No. and Post Applied for, with category and Department on the top of the Left Corner of the Envelope.
  18. All appointments made against these posts shall be governed by the provisions of the Act/ Statutes/ Rules and Regulations of the University as well as U.P. Government Orders from time to time.
