Eligibility: Mahatma Gandhi University Recruitment 2023
Age: not more than 50 years as on 01.01.2023
(Usual relaxation in upper age limit is admissible to candidates as per rules. Three years relaxation in upper age limit is admissible for those regular teachers presently employed in Universities, Aided and Government Colleges in Kerala)
Qualifications: As per UGC Regulations 2018.
General Conditions: Mahatma Gandhi University Recruitment 2023
1. The appointments in the above vacancies shall be made as per UGC Regulations 2018 and reservation principles in accordance with the Mahatma Gandhi University Statutes 1997, Kerala State & Subordinate Service Rules and Kerala Service Rules.
2. For the post reserved for a particular community or a group of communities as mentioned above, the persons belonging to that community or group of communities alone shall apply.
3. Applicants for the post under community reservation quota should submit Caste Certificate/ Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued on or after 01.01.2023. Candidates who claim reservation under EWS category should upload relevant certificate/ documents issued by the competent Revenue Authority along with the application. Candidates who claim reservation under Differently Abled Category are required to furnish Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in proof of their Disability.
4. Natives of States other than Kerala State are not eligible to apply for the posts notified exclusively under reservation quota.
5. Candidates should apply online through the website www.facultyrecruitment.mgu.ac.in on or before October 31, 2023. Two hard copies of duly completed online application along with self attested true copies of all certificates and documents should reach office of the Deputy Registrar-II (Admn.), Mahatma Gandhi University, Priyadarsini Hills P.O, Kottayam-686 560 on or before November 05, 2023. Applicants working in Universities/ Government/Aided Colleges etc., shall submit No Objection Certificate from their employer along with the hard copy of the application.
6. Applications of teachers working in private colleges coming under direct payment system should be forwarded by the Principal to the respective Zonal Deputy Director of Collegiate Education, who in turn shall duly forward the application to the University.
7. Applicants who have obtained degrees from Universities/ Institutions outside the State of Kerala should submit equivalence certificate issued by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala.
8. Appointments shall be subject to the final judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in SLP(Civil) No. 20803/2022.
Registration Fee : Mahatma Gandhi University Recruitment 2023: Faculty Posts
Candidates shall remit an amount of Rs.2,000/- as Registration Fee. SC/ST candidates need to remit Rs.1,000/- only. Fee should be remitted only through online payment, the facility for which is provided in the online application form. Copy of the receipt shall be submitted along with the hard copy of the online application.

Hard copy of duly submitted online application along with true copies of all certificates/ documents (self attested) in proof of qualification, age, community, reservation if any, experience, NOC, equivalency etc. should be forwarded to the address given in Clause III.5 of the notification.
Candidates shall submit online application sufficiently early to ensure that the hard copy of the online application reached the University well within the prescribed time limit.
