International Conference on Microbiomeand Synthetic Biology (ICMSB 22).
Date: September 22-23rd, 2022
The Government of Tamil Nadu established the Bharathidasan University at Tiruchirappalli in February,1982,was named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan.
The University aims at developing citizens with knowledge, skills, character contributing to societal transformation and National development in the consonance with our motto “WE WILL CREATE A BRAVE NEW WORLD” has been framed by Paventher Bhrathidasan.
The University is on eamong those recognized by the UGC for receiving grants as per section12b of UG Cact. The University has grown with an excellent research base, offering PGand research programmes through 40 schools, departments and applied research centres.
As of now, the University has104 Arts and Science Colleges,13Approved Institutions, Eighteen of the affiliated colleges are autonomous. The programmes offered through affiliated colleges are so diversified that they number more than 250 having over1.50 lakh students.
DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY
The Department of Microbiology emerged from the parent Department of plant Sciences during 1992 and offering post graduate and research programmes since 1955.
The Department has been equipped with basic to advanced instrumentation facilities from the University as well as support from UCG NON-SAP and DST-FIST for successfully running the M.Sc. and Ph.D., programmes.
They have received project grants of around Rs. 12 crores from various government funding agencies such as CSIR, DBT, DST, ICMR, IFS, INSA, MoEF, MoES, UGC, etc.
With respect to service the faculty members have been exemplary recorded for participation in national and international organization, editing professional journals and reviewing grant proposals from regional and national organizations.
Society of Chemical and Synthetic Biology (SCSB) SCSB – A non-profit organization, established the First Synthetic Biology Association in India named as Society of Chemical and Synthetic biology (SCSB) in the year 2019.
The SCSB is an officially registered Indian based society with a clear aim to establish a strong disbursement and establishment of familiarity and access to resources on Synthetic and Chemical Biology to its members.
SCSB acts as a platform in connecting young synthetic biology aspirants with other peer researchers and industry partners all over the world through annual workshops and conferences.
About The International Conference on Microbiomeand Synthetic Biology (ICMSB 22)
