Advertisement for the post of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under ‘DST-SERB’ at Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the research project funded by ‘DST-SERB’ scheme, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project: Design strategies for the development of non-precious metal-based air electrode for rechargeable metal-air batteries: Unveiling the chemistry of active sites.

Name of the position available: Junior Research Fellow/ Senior Research Fellow

Number of positions available: One

Qualifications:

Essential: M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry/Physics or M. Tech. degree in Material Sceience/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:

(a) Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.

(b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

For SRF Applications: Two years of rigorous research experience is mandatory.

Desirable: Research Experience in Electrochemistry/Materials science/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology will be given preferences.

Age limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 15th February 2023, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
