2. The candidate should not exceed 65 years of age as on the closing date of receipt of applications of this advertisement.

APPOINTMENT FOR THE POSITION OF VICE CHANCELLOR OFGURUKULA KANGRI, HARIDWAR, UTTARAKHAND
[As per directions of Govt. of India, Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, Letter No. F.8-5/2023-U.3(A))
The Vice-Chancellor, being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to be:
1. The candidate should be of Indian origin and possess the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, ethics and strong commitment to the institution.
2. The person to be appointed as a Vice-Chancellor should be a distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten years’ of experience as Professor in a University or ten years of experience in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organisation with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership.
3. The candidate committed to the principles of Arya Samaj, Gurukul System of Education and Vedic culture.
4. The candidate should not exceed 65 years of age as on the closing date of receipt ofapplications of this advertisement.
Salary and Service Conditions: Gurukula Kangri Jobs 2023 Vice-Chancellor Posts
1. The Vice-Chancellor shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the Institute. The post carries a pay of Rs. 2,10,000/- (fixed) per month with special pay of Rs. 11,250/-and other usual allowances.
2. The appointment will be on a tenure basis for five years or up to the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
3. The terms and conditions of the service will be those as applicable to the Vice-Chancellor of a centrally funded university.

1. Appointment will be made from a panel of names recommended by the Search-cum- Selection Committee.
2. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interact with and make a presentation on theirvision for the Institute to the Search-cum-Selection Committee.
