Depleting Natural Resources, Environmental Crisis and Remedies in Jambhani Philosophy

The mother earth is offering abundant resources to its habitats but the resources are finite and need to be utilized judicially and optimally. Interventions of men to meet ever increasing developmental needs has drastically depleted the natural resources viz, water, land, minerals, flora and fauna; and some of the species have reached on the verge of extinction. Such indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources is leading us towards a serious environmental crisis of depleting resources, loss of biodiversity, climate change, global warming, melting of glaciers, soil, water and atmospheric pollution, loss of soil fertility, depleting water table and so on.

The threats of climate change, depleting organic matter, soil fertility and global warming is much evident in reports of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

The teachings of Guru Jambheshwarji are very relevant to deal with the man-made crisis of environmental and ecological imbalance as it teaches us eco based self-contained lifestyle, responsible sustainable development and environmental conservation in harmony with nature.

This two days International Conference aims to analyse and deliberate different contexts of this philosophy to arrive at solutions to slash down the depletion of resources and distress on environment.
