About the University
Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), established by an Act of Parliament and spread in 520 acres of land on the bank of river Vettaaru and in the surrounding of the lush greens of Cauvery delta region, came into existence in 2009.
Emerging as one of the multidisciplinary knowledge hub and research centre of higher education in India, the 12 Schools and 27 departments of CUTN offer Post graduate, Integrated and PhD programmes in Social Sciences and Humanities, Communication, Basic and Applied Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, Technology, Education and Training, Commerce, Management, Law, Performing Arts and Computer Sciences.
The University Library was established in the year 2009 and it serves the students, faculty members and staff of the university. The library has a collection of about 45,000 books and 3500 e-books. Of these, more than 5,000 books are reference books (Handbooks, Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias, and colored atlases, etc.) and the rest are Textbooks and General books.
Besides these, the library also has CDs/DVDs and subscribes to 150 print journals. It facilitates the access to more than 10,000 online electronic journals through UGC – e-ShodhSindhu, J-Gate, and others.
The EPWRF India Time Series database also subscribed for the benefit of faculty, researchers and students in social sciences. The library is fully automated having an online catalogue that can be easily accessed by the users.
The library implemented Koha – an open source software package which is an integrated library management system that supports all housekeeping operations of the library. Recently RFID and CCTV security systems are implemented. There is a separate digital library centre having 30 computers running on high speed internet.
Ourginal & iThenticate anti-plagiarism software access are added by Central Library to check the theses and other publications for the benefit of faculty and students. The library is providing comfortable, user friendly environment for learning and dissemination of knowledge and information.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an initiative to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive independent India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey and they also have the power and potential to activate India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s sociocultural, political and economic identity. About the Conference The leading theme of this year’s conference is innovation in information, information services and their usage in the era of evolving changes, both technological and social ones.
These changes are of often defined as the digital revolution. Conference themes cover a wide range of theoretical and practical aspects concerning: modern tools and methods of information activities, information and knowledge organization, shaping of information architecture, the analysis and evaluation of new technologies applied in the library and information science and their reception among users.
We also want to discuss the context of trends in Information Science as a subfield of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This national conference will be beneficial to the faculty, research scholars and students of library professionals enrich the knowledge about new technologies and current trends.

Research papers, conceptual papers (review of literature) and cases are invited from academicians, library professionals, research scholars, and library and information science students, relevant to the theme of the conference.
This conference aims to provide a platform to present and discuss the latest developments and applications related to Sustainable Development in the field of Library & Information Science. However, the list is indicative and not exhaustive.
Paper Submission Guidelines
Only original, unpublished work is sought. Any proposal submitted to present identical or substantially similar work already published, under review for another conference or publication will not be considered.
Submission should include a separate title page, which clearly indicates the name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s), complete mailing address, telephone/mobile number(s) and e‐mail address, title of the paper and up to four keywords that describe the paper.
All submissions will strictly go through a plagiarism check, only those paper which passes through plagiarism are accepted and presented during the conference.
For the preparation of the manuscript, the author(s) are requested to follow the (APA Style, 7th edition).
The complete paper should reach us latest by 3rd June, 2022 in Microsoft Word Format only.
All the authors, in the case of co‐authored papers, must pre‐register for the conference, and at least one author has to present the paper.

The full-length papers submitted for the conference will be peer reviewed and selected papers will be published in edited volumes with ISBN by a reputed publisher.
