General Instruction to the Candidates for registration: Central University of Rajasthan Ph.D. Admission 2023

1. The University is going to conduct Ph.D. Entrance Exam under the non-exempted category. Kindly be fully sure of the vacancies in the Departments in respective categories (Annexure-I) before applying.

2. All eligible candidates will be required to pay online a Non-Refundable fee of Rs. 1200/- plus transaction charges and taxes as applicable with the application form.

3. The University shall not be responsible for the technical glitch or delay, if any, in submission of the form or the payment of application fee. Duly filled-up application form with prescribed fee must be submitted online from December 25, 2023 to January 10, 2024. To be sure of the timely submission of the form and deposition of fee without any hassle, PLEASE APPLY well in advance of the last date.

4. A list of candidates whose applications are received with the prescribed fee indicating whether the candidate is eligible or not, will be displayed on the university website (www.curaj.ac.in) on January 16, 2024.

5. Students having grievances, if any, regarding their eligibility or fee payment, must submit the same at [email protected] by January 18, 2024.

6. A written exam of the eligible candidates will be held on January 24, 2024 followed by an interview on January 25, 2024. The result thereof will be declared on the evening of January 24, 2024.

7. Please keep visiting the University website regularly for any update. NO SEPARATE INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUAL APPLICANTS.

Instructions Regarding the Admission Process: Central University of Rajasthan Ph.D. Admission 2023

The admission process will consist of two components:

 A proctored written exam

 A presentation as per the given template for a maximum of 10 minutes followed by interaction (viva-voce) with the Ph.D. Admission Committee.

2. The eligibility for call for interview shall be a minimum of 50% marks in the written exam for UR, and 45% for OBC, SC, ST, and EWS.

3. The Final merit list will be determined as per the following breakup: 70% weightage of the marks secured in written exam + 30% weightage of the interview marks.

4. Interested and eligible candidates are required to appear for the written test and interview on the notified date and time. No request for change in date and time of examination or interview will be entertained.

5. The candidature for Ph.D. admission will not be considered if the candidate fails to appear in the written or interview examination.

6. The interview will be organized by various Departments in the offline mode strictly.

7. The candidate is expected to present his/her research proposal to the Ph.D. Admission Committee. The interview (viva-voce) will be based on the subject knowledge, research aptitude and general understanding of the area/topic in which the candidate is desirous of pursuing the research.

8. Students securing at least 50% marks (UR category) and 45% (OBC/SC/ST/EWS categories) in the combined score of the written exam and the interview will be eligible to be considered for admission as per the merit list.

9. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the university Website.

10. The selected students will be required to deposit the prescribed Academic fee (Programme wise) using the link provided by the University.

11. The academic fee must be deposited within the stipulated time and information thereof must be sent by email to the respective HoD with a copy to [email protected]. Candidate must check and confirm if the fee amount is debited from his/her account. No communication on account of any technical glitch shall be considered.

12. Failure to deposit the academic fees within the stipulated time frame may directly lead to cancellation of admission. In such a case, the next eligible candidate as per the merit list will be offered admission.

13. Admission will be offered to the students in order of merit only after satisfactory “Online verification” of the “Original documents” and “Transcripts” by the department concerned.

14. If any document is not found satisfactory during the Document verification process, then an opportunity will be given to the candidate to submit the revised document(s) or give the undertaking to submit the same within the stipulated time.

15. Vacancies resulting due to non-deposit of fee / cancellation / withdrawal will be filled in order of the merit of the eligible candidates.

16. In case of a tie in awards of scores the candidates already having any fellowships will be preferred.

17. The Central Admission Committee of the University reserves the right to make any changes in the schedules and the process as outlined above without prior intimation and decide upon all matters related to the admission process. The decision of the committee shall be final and binding to all.

The scheme of the Exam is as follows: Central University of Rajasthan Ph.D. Admission 2023

As per UGC regulation “HEI may admit students through an Entrance Test conducted at the level of the individual HEI. The Entrance Test syllabus shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific”.

Pattern: The question paper consists of 100 MCQS. The examination shall be for duration of Two hours.

The question paper shall be divided in two parts:

Part-I: Research methodology (50 MCQs) and

Part-II: Concerned subject (50 MCQs).

There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
