Eligibility criteria: Bodoland University Ph.D Admission 2023-24
Candidates fulfilling the following conditions are eligible to apply for the Ph. D. Programme under Bodoland University.
1. Any person with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade in a Master’s Degree of this University and from other University recognized by the UGC in any subject like Faculties of Humanities. Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Management, Technology. Fine Arts, Engineering Science and Medical Science or other professional subjects or equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or ince yorated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions may apply for admission to the Ph. D Programme.
2. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-criminal layer) Differently-abled and other categories of candidates, or for those who had obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedure..
3. Candidates who have cleared the JRF and M. Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in eggregate or its equivalent grade and successfully completing the M. Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph. D Degree.
However, candidates having IRF and M.Phil. have to apply for Ph. D. course and appear for personal interview of the entrance test which carrying 20 marks out of 100 marks.
It is noted that written test will be conducted for 80 marks of which 50% weitage will be on research methodology and rest will be on subject
4. Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M. Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institutions Accredited by an Assessment and accreditation, Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under Jay in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country, the the purpose of assessing accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. Programme.

Candidates may apply online on payment of Rs. 700/- (for general and OBC students) and Rs. 400/- (for ST/SC/PWD students) through University online portal.
The web link www.huniv.edu.in for the purpose shall be active for application with effect from 30th November, 2023 to 31″ December,2023.

The fee shall be paid quarterly.#Reservation of seats for admission in respect of SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy layer)/PWD candidates will be made as per Govt. of Assam rules.
Appropriate certificate may be submitted from the statutory authority.
Admission into the programme will be carried out as per the recent UGC notification.
