Advertisement for a Research Associate I
Position
Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for a Research Associate I position in the SERB sponsored research project “Abiotic stress amelioration through the application of fungal exopolysaccharides” Under the PI Professor Debdulal Banerjee, Department of Botany and Forestry, Vidyasagar University, Midnapore- 721102, West Bengal.
Eligibility: Vidyasagar University Recruitment 2024 Research Associate posts
Ph.D. degree in Botany/ Plant Science with at least three research papers in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal in relevant field. Experience in work on plant microbe interaction is desirable.
Stipend: Postdoctoral Fellow will be paid consolidated salary based on the following salary structure of the DST for Research Associate. Category Emoluments per month Research Associate-I Rs. 47,000/- and HRA 8%

The initial appointment will be for one year and may be extended as per institute and funding agency guidelines.

i) No TA/DA will be provided to the candidate for the interview.i
i) The PI shall not be responsible for email delay if any, or any other reason for non receipt of the document at the specified time and will result in disqualification/rejection of the application.
iii) The decision of the selection committee will be final. If the number of shortlisted candidates called for the interview is large, the selection committee may decide to restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after considering qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.i
v) The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Institute/ funding agency particularly applicable to the said project as and when required.
v) The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
vi) The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure if performance till date is not deemed satisfactory.
vii) Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email for an interview.
