UGC revised the Fellowship amount
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has revised the Fellowship amount for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), Dr DS Kothari, and other associated schemes.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recently updated the Fellowship amounts under its fellowship schemes, as per an official notification released on October 16.
According to the notice, the UGC’s 572nd meeting on September 20, 2023, resulted in the approval of revised rates for the Fellowship schemes.

The calculation of the house rent allowance, if applicable, will be determined based on a percentage of the fellowship amount. According to the notification, the updated Fellowship rates will only apply to current recipients.
- The above revised rates of Fellowship are applicable w.e.f. 01.01.2023.
- The other terms and condition will remain same as per the UGC Schemes Guidelines.
