Applications are invited from gainfully employed citizens of India (male & female) for an opportunity of donning the uniform and serving the Nation as Territorial Army Officers.

  • Essential QR.
    • B Tech Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/IT & Telecom, B Sc (Computer Science/IT) with min 60% grades or equivalent from recognized university.
    • Certifications in any One More Under Mentioned Fields: –

(aa) Web application security and penetration testing (OSCP, OSEP, OSWA, OSWE). (ab) Red Teaming Ops (CRTP, CRTE).

(ac) Computer Networks and Information System. (CCNA, CEH, LPT). (ad) Cloud Computing (Azure A 500, AWS Cloud Security Specialty).

(ae) Mobile Application Development (Android), experience in Mobile development using Java/Kotlin/Flutter react Native.

  • Desirable QRs.
  • M Tech in Computer Science or Cyber Security.
  • Work experience in cyber field for 2 years or more is preferred.

The Candidates to Ensure their Eligibility for the Examination. The candidates applying for the ASB Interview should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for the Interview. Their candidature at all the stages of the Interview will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

The candidates are required to bring the following documents in original alongwith self- attested copies at the time of interview. All the candidates whose complete documents are not produced for verifications will not be allowed to attend the interview.

  • Application Form IAF (TA)-9 (Revised) Part-1 & 2 to be downloaded from www.jointerritorialarmy.gov.in and filled up in their own handwriting.
    • All educational qualification certificates (Matric onwards till       Graduation).
    • All educational documents for verification including as required at Para 2(c) above.
    • Copy of Identity proof with photographs (Voter ID/PAN Card/Aadhar Card/ Passport/ Driving license etc).
    • Domicile/ Residential proof.
    • Certificate for proof of age (Matric/ Senior Secondary mark sheet & certificate for verification of date of birth).
    • Latest income proof from the appropriate authority (i.e. Income Tax Revenue Department / Magistrate / Employer).
    • Copy of PAN Card.
  • Copy of Aadhar Card.
  • Copy of Certificates / Reports of all Courses.
  • Copy of latest Income Tax Return (ITR) filed.
  • Candidates whose names vary in documents should submit copy of Gazette notification of India/ State showing the correct name duly supported by newspaper cuttings.
  • Self-employed candidates are required to submit an Affidavit on Non-Judicial stamp paper of minimum value duly attested stating nature of employment and annual income alongwith photocopy of PAN card and self-certified character certificate.
  • Service certificate by candidates employed in Central Govt/ Union Territory/ State/Semi Govt/ Private Sector Authenticated by Head of office alongwith No Objection Certificate by the department as per format given at Para 14 (a) below

Selection Procedure: Territorial Army Recruitment 2023: ASB(Specialised Field – Cyber Warfare)

A four phase selection procedure will be followed: –

Phase I: Document Check. Benchmarking of candidates will be done based on qualification for preparation of merit list & issuing call letter for written test.

Proficiency Test. (aa) Phase II: Written Test (100 Marks). Only candidates scoring 60% and above in objective type written test will qualify for Practical Test. (ab)

Phase III: Practical Test (100 Marks). Candidates qualifying in Practical Test will be called for Interview.

Phase IV: Interview (300 Marks).     Interview by Board of Offrs at Directorate      General      of Territorial Army.Recommended candidates will undergo Medical Examination at Armed Forces Clinic, New       Delhi followed by their Police Verification for final selection..

Standard and Syllabus

Written Test.

The syllabus will consist of Network Security, Operating System Security, Cryptography and Encryption Techniques, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response and Handling, Penetration Testing, Secure Coding Practices, Cyber Laws and Regulations, Log Analysis and Forensics, Network Forensics, Audits and Compliance, Vulnerability Assessment, Wireless Penetration Testing, Wireless Networks Security, Cloud Security, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security, Social Engineering Attacks and Countermeasures, Mobile Application Security, Threat Modelling and Risk Assessment, Malware Analysis and Detection, Social Media Security, Web Application Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Threat Hunting and Analysis and Cloud Infrastructure Security.

Practical Test

It will be conducted inform of CTF (Catch the flag) event with focus on Solving of Challenges in the domains of Threat Intelligence (OSINT), Cryptography, Web Application Security, Forensics, Reverse Engineering, Malware Analysis, Threat Intelligence and Network Incident Response etc. A candidate will participate in CTF using his/her pers laptop so each candidate has to carry his pers laptop for Practical Test.Candidate will be tested for his/ Tech skills, Problem solving abilities, Time Management, etc.Internet connectivity will be provided to all candidates by conducting team.

Disclaimer: –   Candidates should note that no request for change of date of interview will be granted. The eligible candidates shall be issued a call up letter and will be sent by the Territorial Army Directorate by post and on email.

Embodiment for Training.Six months Pre-Commission Training as provided in TA Rule 20A amended vide SRO 65 dt 29 Apr 2023. (Candidates shall be commissioned in TA only on successful completion of the said Pre- Commission Training). Two months annual training camp every year if not continuously embodied for six months in a training year (01 April -31 March).

Terms and Conditions of Service

Territorial Army is part time concept with mandatory two months training in a year and does not provide full time career.

Service in Territorial Army does not guarantee pension and the same is subject to embodied service as per organisational requirement.

Commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant.

Pay and Allowances and privileges will be same as Regular Army Officers when embodied for training and military service.

Promotions upto Lt Col by time scale subject to fulfilling laid down criteria. Promotion to Colonel and Brigadier by selection.
