Online Applications are invited in prescribed form (available on College website www.rnlkwc.ac.in) for admission to the Ph.D. Programmes, 2023-24 of the Research Centres in Humanities and Social Sciences (Bengali-5, History-2, Hindi-1, Music-1, Pol. Sc.-1, Sanskrit-3) & Natural and Applied Sciences (Botany-1, Chemistry-2, Economics-1, Mathematics-3, Microbiology-3, Physics-1, Physiology-2 and Zoology-5).

Application Fees : Rs. 500/-

Date of submission of application	15.04.2024 to 04.05.2024 (up to 11:59:59pm).
Venue of Interview	Vidyasagar University Campus

Eligibility: RNLKWC Admission 2024: PhD Programme

Eligibility Criteria for application:

1. Application for admission to the Ph.D. Programme of the College shall be made to the Principal within the stipulated date in the prescribed form along with self attested copies of testimonials of the candidate.

2. A person who has obtained Master Degree or a degree deemed equivalent from any University or Institution recognized by UGC be eligible for admission, if obtained at least 55% (General category), 50% (SC, ST, PH, OBC-A, OBC-B categories) marks, provided that-

i. A candidate who has completed at least a total of 5 years in UG and PG study in arecognized institution or university;

ii. The candidate is not currently admitted as a student in any full-time course of studies or registered for doing Ph.D. in any University;

iii. A candidate who has regular M. Phil (before 2023)./M. Tech. shall be exempted from appearing at the Written Admission Test for this purpose and will have to appear only at an interview to be conducted by the Ph.D. Committee;

iv. Candidates qualified at the NET/GATE/SET/UGC(JRF)/CSIR (JRF) or any other examinations that considered equivalent by the CSIR(JRF) shall be exemptedfrom appearing at the Written Admission Test and will have to appear at aninterview;

v. In other cases, those candidates who have qualified Written Admission Test(RET), conducted by the Vidysagar University Centrally, are also eligible toappear in the interview.

vi. Final semester Post Graduate students are eligible to apply for the Ph.D. programme provided that they must fulfil the aforesaid requirements on or before the interview process conducted by the Ph. D committee.
