5. Downloading Admit Card: After successful payment, the ADMIT CARD will be autogenerated and can be downloaded after 1 hour of successful payment.
6. Admission process: Two phased –Written Test and Interview

Admission to Class VI 2024 [ONLY FOR BOYS]
Class and Medium: Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Narendrapur Admission V & VI 2024
Only a very few boys may be admitted to Class VI, both Bengali Medium and English Medium. Each candidate may apply either for English Medium or for Bengali Medium. If anyone applies for both English Medium and Bengali Medium, his candidature is liable to be cancelled. It being a residential school, all the boys should stay at the hostels.
The school is affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Boys are admitted here after admission test and interview.
Eligibility for Admission to Class VI Boys now reading in Classes V or VI (West Bengal Board) or to be promoted to class VI in April, 2024 (other than West Bengal Board) are eligible for admission test for Class VI. Candidates having no formal education in any school are not eligible.

Between 10 years 8 months and 12 years 4 months of age as on 1st January, 2024 (i.e. born between 01.09.2011 and 01.05.2013)

For General Category: Boys should secure 80% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 80% marks in English & 85% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination (i.e. of Classes IV or V).
For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B : Boys should secure 75% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 75% marks in English & 80% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination (i.e. of Class V or VI).
In cases where no marks are awarded and only grading is done, exact percentage of marks and conversion formula adopted are to be mentioned with documentary evidence, if required.
Application: Applications should be submitted ONLINE ONLY on the School website on http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org. No OFFLINE form will be issued.
Filling up of online application will commence on 11th December, 2023 from 10.00 a.m.

After successful payment, the ADMIT CARD will be auto-generated and can be downloaded after one hour of successful payment.
Please download and print the ADMIT CARD (preferably coloured) and carry it to the admission centre. Without admit card no candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination hall.
The cost of the Application Form is to be paid ONLINE only. The amount to be paid for each candidate is Rs. 1000/- for all.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, Kolkata-700103 6. Admission Test: Admission Test for the boys of Bengali Medium and English Medium will be held on Wednesday, 27th December, 2023 between 12.00 noon and 1.30 p.m.
Boys seeking admission to English Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengali or Hindi, English and Mathematics. Here Bengali or Hindi is the First Language in English
Boys seeking admission to Bengali Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengali, English and Mathematics.
There will be three papers carrying 90 marks in total (Bengali/Hindi: 30; English: 30; Mathematics: 30. The duration of the Test is 1 hour 30 minutes.
The syllabi meant for Class VI (for Admission to Class VI) prescribed by different Boards or Councils will be covered mainly. Emphasis is given on the basic concepts or fundamentals of the subjects, simple and correct sentences with right spellings of words and good handwriting etc.
Result will be published on our Vidyalaya website (http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org) within 5 days from the date of examination.
7. Any information given in the Application Form, if subsequently found wrong, may cause expulsion of the student, even after admission.
8. No admission is made against receipt of donation in cash or kind.
9. Boys irrespective of caste, creed or nationality are admitted. Preference is given to boys belonging to the weaker sections of the society. Excellence in co-curricular activities is desirable.
10. In no case, question papers of the previous years are given or published in any form. The Vidyalaya also does not conduct any coaching classes for the Admission Test.
11. Financial assistance is given to a few meritorious boys belonging to financially weak families.
