It is inform that the online application portal is opened from 15.11.2023 for applying Periyar University Ph.D Admission 2023 Common Entrance test- December 2023 session. Visit Periyar University website for guidelines and other details.

Instruction
Candidates are advised to carefully read the eligibility conditions given in Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Regulations 2022 (Page Nos. 2 &3, Para.2) which is available in the University website www. periyarunicersity.ac.in
(Applicant must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for entrance test before filling the application form.)
Online application form must be completed in all respect as per notification.
For applying online application, the applicants should upload the scanned image of their community certificate, PG consolidated (or) mark statements, passport size photograph and signature (JPEG format not exceeding 300 kb) in the appropriate places.
Valid e-mail ID and mobile number are mandatory to apply for Common Entrance Test (CET) . All communications will be sent to the registered email ID only.
Steps to fill the application form:
Step1:Login in www.periyaruniversity.ac.in
Step2: Click Research menu and then click online portal Application Form
Step3: Click Ph.D. Entrance Menu
The application will be available
The application should be filled on-line and the fee shall be paid once after all the informations filled completely. The Examination fee for Common Entrance Test is fixed for the categories as follows.

After filling the complete details in the application, applicant can choose any one of the following modes for making payment of application fee.
a. Net Banking
b, Debit Card/Credit Card
After submitting all details including the payment applicant has to wait for receiving the intimation. Mean while DO NOT press “Back” or “Refresh” button to avoid payment failure.
The applicant can edit certain fields till the last date specified.
After providing all the requisite information in the application and payment of fees, candidates are requested to take the printout of the filled – in application and submit the same to the University along with the copies of the self-attested certificates uploaded either by post or in person.
For entrance examination, Candidates can download their hall ticket from the University website prior to 4 days of the CET.
The candidates those who are taking common entrance test for Ph.D. admission should score minimum of 15 marks out of 40 marks to apply for Ph.D. degree programmes.
Periyar University may change the centre, date of examination without assigning any reason.
The decision of the University shall be final in all matters.

Hard copy of the filled in application form along with the self attested certificates should be reached by POST / In Person on or before 18.12.2023 in a closed envelope super scribed as ” APPLICATION FOR Ph.D. COMMON ENTRANCE TEST -December 2023 in (SUBJECT NAME )” to the Research Coordinator, Periyar University, Salem -63 011.
Note:-
Date Common Entrance Test, Time & Venue will be Intimated Later.
Those who have appeared for the Common Entrance Test alone will be considered for the admission to Ph.D. programmes on merit basis.
Candidates qualified UGC /CSIR – NET/SET/GATE/DST Inspire fellow qualified need not apply for Common Entrance Test.
