PCB Central Contract List: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)

PCB Central Contract List: PCB announced Three-Year Men’s Central Contract List. Three-year men’s central contract list announced by Unveils PCB.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a new central contract list for men’s cricket that will be effective from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2026. This three-year contract period will have a fixed financial model, but player performances will be reviewed every 12 months.

The new contract list marks a departure from the previous structure, as it combines red-ball and white-ball national contracts. The central contract committee made this decision to assess players based on their match-winning capabilities.

The contract list includes 25 cricketers, and a portion of the revenue generated from the International Cricket Council (ICC) will be included in their overall monthly remuneration.

One significant change in these contracts is the increase in monthly retainers for players, with four categories and substantial increases. Additionally, there is a notable increase in match fees: 50% for Test matches, 25% for ODIs, and 12.5% for T20Is.

PCB Management Committee Chairperson, Zaka Ashraf, emphasized the importance of player well-being and providing them with the best possible services. He stated, “We firmly believe that a financially secure and motivated team is more likely to excel on the field.”

Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, described the new contracts as a historic deal and expressed his satisfaction with the agreement. He sees this as a significant development in the players’ careers and Pakistan cricket.
