The Department of Sociology, MZU will be hosting a walk-in interview on 3rd October 2023 in the Department of Sociology (Cluster Building), MZU from 11:00 AM omwards for hing of one (1) Research Associate and one (1) Research Assistant for an ICSSR funded project entitled “The Mizo Queen Lalu Ropuiliani: Her Legacy in the Context of Nation-Building” for a duration of maximum 2 years for Rescarch Associate and maximum 1 year for Rescarch Assistant (the tenure may be extended or shortened by 2-6 months depending upon the progress of the project).
The research staff’s work will entail extensive fieldwork across Mizoram, secondary research, and write up.

Weightage will be given to candidates with:
- Familiarity with towns and villages across Mizoram;
- Interest in / knowledgeability of the life of Ropuiliani.

Candidates must verify eligibility criteria of the research staff and accordingly mention in the e-mail if they are applying fo Research Associate or Research Assistant.

The candidates must come in person (offline mode) for the interview.
The selected candidates will be provisionally hired initially for a period of 3 months and the extension will depend upon ther performance.
The interview committee reserves the right to not select any candidate if none are found to be satisfactory.
