• Candidates completed their Post Graduate degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC (ne-creamy Izyer) Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.) are eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D. program.
However, the candidates who are waiting for their result of Post Graduate program can also apply to appear in the test.
The test will be computer based multiple choice types.

The above test in only a qualifying exam. Passing the test does not guarantee admission to the Ph.D. programme in a specific subject.
Admission to the Ph.D. programme depends on the availability of Supervisor in the concerned subject.
A candidate shall ordinarily be permitted to work for Ph.D. Degree in the subject in which he/she hasobtained his/her Master’s Degree.
The number of seats may vary at the time of counselling. Candidate qualifying JRF-not later than 2 years (UGC/CSIR) are exempted from entrance test.
