*   i) The pay scales and other service conditions for the above posts will be as per (Punjab Govt. Notification No.7/204/2012-4 F.P.1/60 dated 15.1.2015 and circular No. 7/204/2012-4 F.P.1/66 dated 15.01.2015) and any other instructions issued by Punjab Govt. from time to time in this regard except for the posts at Sr. Nos. 1 to 20. However, the pay shall be regulated as per letter issued by the Department of Finance, Govt. of Punjab vide No. 7/42/2020-5FP1/741-46 dated 17.07.2020.

  • ii) As per letter issued by the Department of Finance, Govt. of Punjab vide No. 7/42/2020-5FP1/741-46 dated 17.07.2020, the pay scales of non- teaching posts shall be as per 7th Central Pay Commission.

*iii) Post mentioned at Sr. No. 43 being ICAR funded, shall be allowed with full pay and allowances as admissible.

Note: The guidelines/ instructions issued/to be issued by Punjab Government with regards to the pay scales, shall be applicable.

  • The candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application form for each post alongwith requisite fee and enclosures etc.
  • The University will prepare a score card of merit for the advertised posts based on their qualifications, higher qualifications and experience etc. Ten (10) eligible candidates as per merit for one post, shall be called for interview/practical test/written test/any other test, as applicable.
  • The posts at Sr. Nos. 1 to 20 are in the planned scheme. Plan posts are likely to continue and post at Sr. No. 43 ICAR post is co-terminus with Scheme.
  • The candidates will have to score at least 50% marks in interview/skill/aptitude test to be eligible for selection (as and where applicable).
  • If at any stage, it comes to notice/revealed that the candidate has submitted false certificate/ degree/used unfair means, he/she will not only be summarily rejected but proceeded against legally as well.

For Assistant Professor level posts: GADVASU Recruitment 2023: Teaching and Non-Teaching posts

The NET essentiality for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted, for the candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009 shall be exempted subject to the conditions that:

  • Ph.D. degree of the candidate awarded is in regular mode only;
  • Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis is by atleast two external examiners;
  • Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted;
  • Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which atleast one must be in refereed Journal;
  • Candidate has made atleast two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work.

(a)    to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice Chancellor/Pro-Vice- Chancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/Dean (University Instructions).

In the absence of a certified copy of certificate as at Sr. No. a) to e) above, the candidature will not be considered for NET exemption.

  1. Applications, which are incomplete/ not on the prescribed form/ received after the due date/ received without the prescribed application fee etc. shall not be considered. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss/spoilage in transit.
  2. (i) The candidates should enclose self-attested copies of all the certificates of qualifications, detail marks, experience, caste certificate/certificate of Physically Handicapped (for reserved category candidates) and application fee alongwith application form.

(ii)   In the absence of any of the necessary documents, due weightage shall not be given for any lacking document, and it may even also lead to rejection of candidature for the post. No communication for supply of lacking documents shall be made by the University in this regard. Rejection of candidature, due to lacking documents/testimonials i.e. educational qualification certificates, valid experience certificates etc. will be the sole responsibility of the candidate.

  • No request for addition of any document whatsoever shall be entertained beyond the last date of submission of application i.e. 24.11.2023 by 5.00 p.m.

The complete application form (including copies of the certificates/credentials etc.) should be duly page numbered and properly tagged, and indexed.

  1. The University reserves the right to increase, decrease or withdraw any post indicated in the Advertisement at any stage.
  2. In-service candidates should apply through proper channel. While advance copy of the application alongwith prescribed application fee must reach by the stipulated last date of the receipt of application(s), the copy through proper channel must reach in the office of Registrar, GADVASU before the date of interview/written test whichever is applicable.
  3. For posts at Sr. Nos. 1 to 20, 22 to 39 & 43; the minimum age of entry is 18 years and the retirement age is 60 years.
  4. For posts at Sr. No. 21, 40 to 42: the minimum age of entry for General Category is 18 years and maximum age is 37 years as on 01.01.2023. The maximum age of entry for candidates who have already been employed (including contractual workers) in Govt./Semi-Govt./ recognized institutions is 45 years.
  5. the maximum age of entry for such candidates under various reserved categories, who have already been employed (including contractual workers) in Govt./Semi-Govt./recognized institutions will be calculated over and above the maximum age of 45 years.
  6. the relaxation in age of entry for Scheduled Castes and Backward Class is 05 years over and above the maximum age limit as on 01.01.2023.
  7. the relaxation in age of entry for disabled residential of Punjab is 10 years over and above the maximum age limit as on 01.01.2023.
  8. The reservation policy will be applicable for all non-teaching posts as per Punjab Govt. Rules.
  9. 50% exemption in examination fee will be given to the physically handicapped persons.
      • No T.A./D.A. will be paid for attending the interview/examination etc.
      • Canvassing in any form shall be viewed seriously and candidature may be cancelled.
      • For Group-C posts, the candidate(s) has to pass a qualifying test of Punjabi Language equivalent to Matriculation standard with at least fifty per cent marks, in addition to competitive examination (if any). The test of Punjabi Language shall be a mandatory qualifying test and failure to secure a minimum of fifty per cent marks in Punjabi Language will disqualify the candidate for being considered in the final merit list of candidates to be selected irrespective of their scores or marks in other papers of the respective exam.

      40.Assistant Accounts Officer   Qualifications:-   Atleast graduate.Must have passed SAS examination.   OR   Higher    Standard    Departmental    Examination    conducted              by PAU/GADVASU for its own employees. Must have served in supervisory capacity not below the rank of Superintendent Grade-I (Rs.7220-11660 or Rs.15600-39100/-+ Rs.5400/- G.P.) on regular basis for a period of two years in a Govt. office or educational institution preferably in a university with good record of service.   Must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language, which may be specified by the PAU/GADVASU from time to time.   Desirable:- Experience of administrative, budgetary and accounts work.
      41.Junior Draftsman   Matric with two years diploma in Draftsman Civil Engineering recognized by Govt. of India, Ministry of Labour Employment.   OR   Three years diploma in Civil Engineering/Architect Assistantship.   OR   B. Tech. Civil Engineering /B. Arch.   Two years technical experience in any University /Govt. Board/Corporation/Govt. undertaking/Reputed Firms/Architect etc. relating to drafting of drawing, preparation of rough cost estimates, detailed notice inviting tenders, analysis of rates and tender cases, use of Autocad and/or drafting software etc.   Must have passed Punjabi upto Matriculation.   Note: In case of experience in reputed firm, the annual turnover of the firm should be more than 100 crores.
      42.Driver (for Directorate of Livestock Farms)   Should be 10+2 in any stream, must possess a driving licence for driving heavy duty and light vehicles followed by atleast 5 years’ experience in driving, repairs etc. in the Government/Semi Govt. Departments/State Universities/recognized institute/Board/Corporation etc.Passed Punjabi upto Matric level or above.Employees of the Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University who are Matric pass and possess valid heavy duty and light vehicle driving license and have completed 5 years’ service as Bus Cleaner or a Driver on contract in GADVASU will also be eligible.   Job responsibilities:-   Tractor driving with all implements, TMR wagon, trolleys, loader etc.Routine maintenance of tractors and implements.Driving and mechanical repair of all machinery related with field and livestock farms working and maintenance of pneumatic planter, fodder harvester cum chopper, straw baler and laser leveler etc.Maintenance of log books for diesel consumption and any other duty assigned from time to time.
      43.Deputy Director (Training), KVK Booh, Tarn Taran   Ph.D. degree in field of Agriculture/Horticulture/Veterinary Science/Animal Sciences/Fisheries/ Agricultural Engineering/ Home Science/ Agro forestry.Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 65% marks.Eight years’ experience in teaching/research/extension education in the relevant area at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in the pay band-3 of 15600-39100 with G.P. of Rs. 5400/-, 6000/-, 7000/- and 8000/- or more remuneration (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research experience).Substantial contributions to research as evidenced by quality of papers published with a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books and/or adoption of results of research, innovations in teaching/extension education.Matric level certificate of Punjabi language.
