  1. Any deviation in the nomenclature of the relevant branches as mentioned above may also be considered by the University.
  2. AMIE/IETE qualifications in relevant branches mentioned in the RR are also eligible.
  3. B.Sc. (Engineering), B.E., B.Tech, B.S. (Four years) shall be considered as equivalent.
  4. M.Sc. (Engineering), M.E., M.Tech, M.S. shall be considered as equivalent.
  5. Selection Committee, may in cases of exceptional merit, recommend additional increments in case of higher qualifications, experience and academic achievements by the candidates.
  6. Persons already in employment in Government Department/Autonomous Bodies/Universities under Central/State Government should apply through proper channel.
  7. The University shall conduct a screening test for shortlisting of candidates. The shortlisted candidates will make a presentation before a committee, prior to appearing for interview before the selection committee
  8. If a class/division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/division. If conversion formula for CGPA to percentage marks is not given/defined, CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks by multiplying the CGPA by a factor of 10.

Submission Procedure: DTU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024

Procedure for submission of application:

  1. The candidates are required to fill up the online application form, along with Annexures-I [A (Academic Record) and B (Experience & Research Performance) parts both], as applicable (refer Table 1 for filling up the annexures).
  2. The candidates, along with the printout of online filled-in application form, shall also submit the printouts of Annexures I and II above, Xerox of the other documentary evidences, desired/relevant documents to claim their eligibility with prescribed fees in the form of Demand Draft only, in favour of The Registrar, DTU payable at Delhi.
  3. The last date of submission of online application alongwith proof of fees is 14.04.2024. The link for online application will be available on University website i.e. www.dtu.ac.in on 18.03.2024.
  4. In case the candidate wishes to apply for more than one discipline or post, he/she shall submit separate online application form alongwith proof of requisite fees.
  5. The printout of the online application alongwith Demand Draft and printout of Annexures-I and II, alongwith documentary evidences should reach the Recruitment Branch, Delhi Technological
  6. University, Shahbad Daulatpur, Bawana Road, Delhi-110042 within ten days (i.e. upto 24.04.2024) from the last date of submission of online application i.e. 14.04.2024.

Brief Notes: DTU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024

  1. Assessment of the candidates shall be based on the evidence produced by the applicant such as copy of the publications, sanction letters of the projects, certificates of utilization/completion of the projects (issued by the Institute/ University), acknowledgements and approval letters for patents published/ awarded, Ph.D. award letter/notification of research scholars guided, etc.
  2. If a class/division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/division.
  3. In case, procedure for conversion of Grade Point to percentage of marks is mentioned on the degree itself, the same shall be applied or otherwise, Grade Point in 10-point scale system will be adopted and the Cumulative Grade Point Average will be converted into equivalent marks as below:

“Percentage of Marks = 10 x CGPA”

  • If any false information is provided by the candidate, his/her candidature for the post shall stand cancelled.

Procedure for selection: DTU Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024

  1. The applications received will be scrutinized as per the eligibility criteria as prescribed (in Recruitment Rules and Advertisement) by the University for respective disciplines.
  2. List of ‘eligible’ and ‘not-eligible’ candidates for Screening Test will be uploaded on the University website i.e. www.dtu.ac.in.
  3. There shall be a screening test for the post of Assistant Professor (except for those exempted under clause (vii))The screening test for the post of Assistant Professor will be based on prescribed syllabus available on University website.
  4. The eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor will be required to download admit cards from the University website for appearing in the screening test.
  5. The date of Screening Test will be notified on the University website www.dtu.ac.in. The candidates are advised to keep visiting the University website for further updates.
  6. EXEMPTION FROM SCREENING TEST (ASSISTANT PROFESSOR)

The exemption from screening test for the purpose of recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor is granted to the candidates having Ph.D. degree in the relevant branch and:

  1. the candidate has at-least one publication in Category I

or

  • the candidate has at-least two publications in Category II

or

  • the candidate has at-least five publications in Category II and Category III taken together

  1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  2. Application Form must be accompanied by a Demand Draft/ print out of online fee receipt of Rs.1000/- in case of General/OBC* candidates and Rs.500/- in case of EWS/SC/ST* Category candidates. The candidates belonging to PwBD* category are exempted from payment of application fee. No other mode of payment (except demand draft and online mode) will be accepted by the University. (*-relaxation/concession of fee is applicable only if the post exists in this category and the candidate has applied against that post.)
  3. Application Form must also be accompanied by self-attested copies of Educational and Professional Qualifications, Experience, Caste Certificate/PwBD Certificate, as the case may be, (in case claiming benefit of reservation).
  4. Prescribed Educational Qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received are more, the University reserves the right to shortlist the candidates to be called for presentation/interview in any manner as may be considered appropriate.
  5. The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised. No reason for the same shall be communicated.
  6. No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from the candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of screening test/interview and reason for not being called for interview.
  7. The number of posts advertised is provisional and can be varied as per the requirement of the University.Reservation benefits will be available to the EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD category candidates in accordance with the instructions / orders / circulars issued from time to time by the Govt. of Delhi.
  8. The reservation benefits under SC/STs shall be admissible as per judgment dated 12.9.2012 of Hon’ble High Court of Delhi as passed in No. 5390/2010, CM No. 20815/2010 – Deepak Kumar and Ors Vs District and Sessions Judge, Delhi and Ors. as per which SC/ST candidates of other States/UTs shall also be eligible for reservation benefit. However, this shall be further subject to policy decision of Govt. of Delhi for SC/ST migrants of other States.
  9. The OBC candidates must be in possession of filled prescribed Annexure I, alongwith his/her caste certificate issued by the Govt. of Delhi only.
  10. The candidates applying under EWS category (if the post exists in this category) must fulfill the condition as prescribed by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi vide circular no. F.19(10)./2018/S-IV/1595 dated 28.05.2019.
  11. The candidates applying for more than one discipline/post should submit separate application form alongwith requisite fees.
  12. The Educational qualification, age, experience and other conditions of eligibility as stipulated above against the post shall be determined as on the last date of submission of online applications i.e. 14.04.2024.
  13. Applicants already in employment in Government Department/ Autonomous Bodies/Universities under Central/State Government should apply through proper channel.
  14. Incomplete applications and those received after closing date or without requisite fees shall be rejected and no claim for refund of fee shall be entertained in any case.
  15. Candidates must ensure that their application must reach the University well in time. The University will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss.
  16. No TA/DA in connection with the submission of application form or appearing in the screening test/presentation/interview will be paid to the candidate.
  17. If the qualification possessed by the candidate is equivalent, then the authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated must be indicated and its copy must be attached.
  18. The persons working in private organization, claiming previous experience of working in Government Department/Autonomous Bodies/Universities under Central/State Government on regular basis, should  enclose a certificate from that Govt. organization stating no vigilance or disciplinary case was pending or contemplated against them. Failure to provide the same shall make them ineligible for consideration to the post.
  19. No documents will be accepted or considered by the University after submission of application form by the candidate and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.
