  • The Candidate has published two research papers work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

  • The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/ her Ph.D. work in conference/ seminars sponsored/ funded/ supported by the UGC/ ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.

Criteria For Short-listing of Candidates for Interview for the Post of Assistant Professor:

  • (i)            M.Phil. + Ph.D.                          Maximum       :              30 Marks
    • JRF/NET/SET                             Maximum    :              07 Marks
    • In awards category                  Maximum       :              03 Marks
  • Note: The number of candidates to be called for interview shall be 30 for

one post and 15 for each additional  post  (category-wise).  If  there  is  a  tie

on last candidate, i.e., if more than one candidate have the same marks,

then all such candidates shall be called for interview.

  • Academic Score                         :              80 marks

Total                                                   :             100 marks

SET/SLET score of Haryana only shall be valid for eligibility.

Criteria for Selection for the posts of Assistant Professor:

The Academic  score  as  specified  in  above-mentioned  table  shall  be  considered

only for short-listing of the candidates. The selection composite score as follows:

Interview Performance :100 Marks

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSTS OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

(POSTS CODE 51 TO 55)

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:

Eligibility:

  1. A        good        academic          record,         with         a        Ph.D. concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.

Degree         in         the

  1. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
  1. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an

academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a

University,              College              or            Accredited             Research                                      Institution

/Industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or

UCC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per

the criteria given in Appendix-II, Table 2.

B. Criteria for assessment of Research Performance40
Research/ API score as per criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC regulation notified vide DGHE vide Memo No. 7/79-2017 C-IV (3) Dated  11/11/2022 and quality   of    research    publications:  Quality  of  journal (Sco  us/SCI/WoS/UGC Care), impact factor (Clarivate), Citations etc. will be multiplied by 0.10 subject to maximum of 40 marks.   Applicant shall be required to submit maximum 7 best publications  along  with proof ofIndexing/ citation etc.

  1. Assessment and Verification of Category A & B will be done by the Screening Committee.

  • Criteria for short listing of Candidates for consideration before

Selection Committee:

In case of a large number of eligible applicants, short-listing of the candidates can be  done  on  the  basis  of  merit  of

A. Academic Record/ Background and B. Research Performance.

In case of short-listing  of    the candidates,  the number of candidates to be called before Selection Committee for assessment of domain knowledge, Teaching Skills and Interview shall be 20 for 01  post  and  10  for  each  additional  post  (category-wise).  If  more than one candidate has the same marks at last position, then all such candidates shall be called before Selection Committee.

Criteria for selection committee meeting and decision :

Selection Committee meetings will be held only if eligible candidates apply for the post. at least three

The  decision of  the  Selection  committee  shall be   final  and binding regarding suitability of a candidate for the post. Merely having merit points will not bestow any right of appointment to a candidate.
