Candidates should have passed Matric from a recognized board of Secondary Education.
Chandigarh Police Recruitment 2023 age limit
The candidate’s age should be between the age of 18 to 30 years for the general category. For OBC Category candidates the minimum age should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 33 years. The candidate’s age should be between the age of 18 to 35 years for the SC Category.

Chandigarh Police Recruitment 2023 application fee
The application fee is ₹1000 for the general category. For OBC & EWS candidates the application fee is ₹800. The application fee is ₹500 for SC candidates.

- Driving Skills (For male candidates only):
Possession of valid Driving license to drive both two-wheelers and four-wheel vehicles, is mandatory for male candidates of all categories, as on the date of submission of online application.

- All candidates who fill online application form and provisionally found eligible under sports quota, will have to undergo through Physical Measurement & Efficiency Test (PEMT) as per following minimum eligibility standards :-

- All the candidates who qualify PE&MT will be awarded marks (maximum 50 marks) as per their achievement in sports as per the criteria mentioned in Standing Order no. 51/2023 (Para 10.5).
Final merit list for each category shall be based on the marks obtained out of maximum 50 marks as per the sports achievement of the candidates who qualify PE&MT.
General Instructions/ Guidelines: Chandigarh Police Recruitment 2023 Constable Posts
- Apply online well in advance without waiting for last date of submission of online application form.
- Please read the instructions and procedures carefully before you start filling the Online Application Form and check all the particulars filled up in application form to ensure the correctness of information.
- Candidates are expected to have their own email ID and mobile phone number for registration for online application form.
- Final submission of the Application form will only be after payment of the fee through Recruitment Portal (if applicable).
- Candidate shall be considered only against the category against which he/she applies. Any change of category after submission of application form shall not be permitted.
- No request for change of any particular field on the application form after the final submission shall be entertained by the Department.
- No offline application form or copy of downloaded application form will be accepted by the Chandigarh Police Department.
- All the Certificates relating to educational qualification/eligibility conditions, etc. will be determined with regard to cut off date for recruitment i.e. 27.10.2023, unless otherwise specified.
- Form incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected.
- The decision of the Recruitment Board in all matters relating to acceptance or rejection of an application, eligibility/suitability of the candidates, mode and criteria for selection etc. will be final and binding on the candidates. No query or correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- If on verification at any stage starting from submission of application form till appointment, it is found that the candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions or it is found that the information furnished is false or incorrect, his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will also be liable to be criminally prosecuted. This is irrespective of whether or not the candidate benefitted by furnishing the false or incorrect information in his/her application. Even after appointment, at any later stage, if it is found that any information furnished by any candidate is incorrect, he/she shall be liable to be prosecuted legally.
- The Department reserves the right to call upon any candidate personally along with printed copy of the application form/original certificates/photocopy of self- attested certificates/Photo/identity Proof i.e. identity Card/Driving License/Passport/Voter Card/Pan Card/Aadhaar Card etc. at any stage of the Recruitment.
- Only eligible candidates will be called to participate in the selection process. The applicants may, therefore, go through all the terms and conditions carefully before applying for the post.
- A hard copy of the admit card in prescribed format with recent passport size photograph affixed on it, along with physical copy of Id proof in original shall be required at each stage of recruitment process.
