Applications are invited for filling up the following positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate-I (Total: 01) at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi under the project funded by IIRS, ISRO, Govt. of India.
Position is purely on temporary basis and coterminous with the project. Details of the positions are as follows:

Permafrost destabilization induced mass wasting vulnerable zones modelling in higher Himalayan regions (Bhagirathi-Alaknanda valley) through snow cover-climate-terrain interactive mechanism employing Deep Learning techniques (DMSP-ASCB/AS/2022/07)
Emoluments (Per month): Central University of Jharkhand Recruitment 2023
Rs. 31000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year, and thereafter Rs. 35000 + HRA for 3rd Year as SRF. (Candidates, with M. Sc. Degree and without NET/GATE if selected, will be paid assign the post of Project Associate I @ Rs. 25000/- + HRA per month for initial two years, and thereafter Rs. 28000 + HRA as Project Associate II, respectively.) HRA shall be paid as per the University rules or Funding agency.

The fellowship will be offered initially for a period of six months, which can be extended further depending upon performance of the candidate on yearly basis.
Essential qualifications: Central University of Jharkhand Recruitment 2023
Minimum 55% in M.Sc./ M.Tech/ Integrated M.Tech in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Applied Geography & Geoinformatics and relevant subject.
Preference may be given to the candidates with research interest & field work as per requirement of the project.
Candidates who are in last semester of their M.Sc./ M.Tech degree with result awaited may also apply, however in case of selection joining will be effective only with passing of MSc/MTech degree within given joining time. Candidates with NET or GATE will be preferred.
Desirable:
Candidates having experience and knowledge in large data handling (satellite data, meteorological data etc.), with working knowledge of SAR/hyperspectral remote sensing, R, Python, GEE, MATLAB software(s), artificial intelligence, machine learning, GPS, DGPS, UAV, LiDAR etc. will be preferred.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Central University of Jharkhand Recruitment 2023
JRF/ PA I will be responsible to carry out various image processing activities and GIS analysis. The candidate may have to perform the extensive field activities in Hamalaya related to project as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

The above positions are purely temporary and will be filled on contract basis. The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the engagement is co-terminus with the Project.
