Online applications are invited from Indian Citizens for admission to Natural Science Research Centre at Belda College affiliated to Vidyasagar University for regular Ph.D.programme for the academic session 2023-24.
Application should be made through the online admission portal of Belda College https://www.beldacollege.ac.in .
The application fee for online application is Rs.500.00 through online payment mode at the time of application.
Date of submission of application : 01.01.2024 to 15.01.2024 (up to 11.59.59 P.M)

Eligibility Criteria for Application: Belda College Ph.D. Admission 2024
- Candidate must obtain Master Degree in regular mode from any UGC recognized University/ Institute with 55% of marks and 5% relaxation for reserved category candidates as per Govt. of West Bengal norms.
- Candidate who has completed at least a total period of 5 years in UG and PG study from aUGC recognized Institution or University.
- Candidate is not running any other full time course of studies or registered for doing Ph. D. in any other Institute and/or University.
- A candidate who has regular M.Phil./ M.Tech./ or a degree deemed to be equivalent by the Board of Research Studies (on the recommendation of the Ph.D. Committee concerned) shall be exempted from appearing at the Written Admission Test for this purpose and will have to appear only at an interview to be conducted by the Ph.D. Committee.
- Candidates who have qualified the NET/GATE/SET/CSIR (JRF) or any other equivalent examinations conducted by UGC and /or any other agency of Govt. of India / state Govt.shall considered equivalent by the Board of Research Studies of Vidyasagar University, also be exempted from appearing at the Written Admission test and will have to appear at aninterview only before the Ph, D committee.
- In other cases, those candidates who have qualified the Written Admission Test, which was conducted by the Vidysagar University Centrally (Notification regarding Research Eligibility Test – 2023 for Ph.D. Programme in Vidyasagar University and Research Centres in affiliated colleges (Ref. No.: VU/CE/GD-318/2023 Date: 29/08/2023) canappear in the interview to be conducted by the concerned Ph.D. Committee.
- Final semester Post Graduate students are eligible to apply for the Ph.D. programme provided that they must full-fill the aforesaid requirements on or before the interview process conducted by the Ph. D committee.
- College deserved right to impose any other eligibility condition for admission subject to approval of Vidyasagar University as amended by UGC from time to time.
- Any dispute (s), subject to jurisdiction during the Ph.D. program will be under the Judges Court at Paschim Medinipur only.
