Applications are invited in duplicate from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Vice-Chancellor, Nava Nalanda Mahavihara (NNM), Nalanda, Bihar, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. | 4. | Educational and other qualifications | Deputation The Vice Chancellor shall be a whole time salaried officer of Institution Deemed to be University and shall be appointed by the Visitor/chancellor from a panel of three names suggested by a Search cum Selection Committee. Person of the highest level of competence, integrity, moral and institutional commitment shall be appointed as Vice Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor to be appointed shall be a distinguished academician with a minimum of ten years of experience as Professor in a University system or ten years of experience in an equivalent position in reputed research and/ or academic administrative organization. Desirable Qualification i. Doctorate Degree in Buddhist Studies/ Buddhist Philoshy/ Pali from a recognized university ii. Knowledge and fluency in written and spoken Hindi and English Languages. iii. Evidence of outstanding research and published works in national/ international journals of repute or as well acknowledge books in the field of Buddhist Studies. Upper age limit for applying: Not exceeding 55 years on the closing date of receipt of applications Short Term contract: Qualification: As prescribed for deputation Upper age limit for applying: Not exceeding 65 years. Note: i. The Vice Chancellor shall hold office for a term of 5 years. ii. He shall be eligible for a second term provied that in no case shall he/she hold office beyond the age of seventry years. |
