IMPORTANT NOTICE
West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission (WBMSC) Exam Date-Time & Venue
It is hereby notified for general information that the TET Examination of 7thState Level Selection Test (A.T.) for Classes I-IV and Classes V-VIII will be held on 28.01.2024, (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM respectively.
Web Enabled Admit Card for TET Examination will be available on the Commission’s website: www.wbmsc.com on and from 23.01.2024 by entering the Application ID and Date of Birth of the candidates.
As per judgement and order dated 11.08.2023 of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, only D.El.Ed. qualified applicants are eligible to sit for primary TET Examination. Those applicants of TET (I-IV) of 7th SLST(AT) who have not updated their D.El.Ed. qualification in their online application must update their D.El.Ed. qualification within 20.01.2024 in the Online Application portal at the Commissions website: www.wbmsc.com

It is also notified for general information that the Main Examination of 7th State Level Selection Test (A.T.) for Classes IX-X and Classes XI-XII will be held on 03.03.2024, (Sunday) from 10:30 AM to 12 noon and from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. respectively.

West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission (WBMSC) Recruitment 2023
The West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission will conduct the 7th State Level Selection Test (Assistant Teacher), 2023 [7th SLST(AT), 2023] for recruitment in 1729 tentative vacancies for the posts of Assistant Teachers for classes IX-X & classes XI-XII and TET (Advance Arabic, Arabic for classes V-VIII and Arabic UG for classes I-IV) in non-Government, Aided Madrasahs of West Bengal as per West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission Recruitment (Selection and Recommendation of persons for Appointment and Transfer to the Posts of Teacher and Non-Teaching Staff) Rules, 2023 and as per NCTE guidelines.
A. AGE CRITERIA of the Applicants:
General Category: Minimum: 21 years as on 01.01.2023 (i.e., not born after 01.01.2002) Maximum: 40 years as on 01.01.2023 (i.e., not born before 01.01.1983)
Relaxation of Maximum age for SC/ST/PH (Disability 40% and above) Candidates:
Maximum age: 45 years as on 01.01.2023 (i.e., not born before 01.01.1978)
Relaxation of Maximum age for OBC Candidates: Maximum: 43 years as on
01.01.2023 (i.e., not born before 01.01.1980).
B. MODE OF SELECTION:
- Selection ofUnder Graduate Teachers for Classes I-IV:
- TET examination (OMR-MCQ) will be conducted as per following subject and Marks (Pass marks- 60%):

| ii) Language-I | 30 marks |
| iii) Language- II | 30 marks |
| iv) Subject Test (Arabic) | 30 marks |
| v) Environmental Studies | 30 marks |
| Total | 150 marks |
- Eligibility: Passed Fazil / Higher Secondary with Arabic as an elective subject with 50% marks along-with D.El.Ed. / B.Ed.
- Candidates, after passing TET will have to sit for Main Examination

- Selection of Graduate Teachers for Classes V- VIII:
- TET examination (OMR-MCQ) will be conducted as per following subject and Marks (Pass marks- 60%):

| iv) Arabic / Advance Arabic Theology | 60 marks |

- Eligibility: Graduate or Post Graduate with 50% marks with B.Ed./2 – year D.El.Ed. or Graduate or Post Graduate with 45% marks with B.Ed. before 29.07.2011.
- Candidates, after passing TET will have to sit for Main Examination

- Eligibility:
- Graduate or Post Graduate with 50% marks with B.Ed. or Graduate or Post Graduate with 45% marks with B.Ed. before 29.07.2011.
- Studied 300 marks in concerned subject
- Selection of Post Graduate Teachers for Classes XI-XII:
| Main Examination (OMR -MCQ) | 90 marks |
- Eligibility: Post Graduate in concerned subject with 50% marks with B.Ed., or, Post Graduate in concerned subject with 45% marks with B.Ed. before 29.07.2011.
Note:
- Candidates will be called for interview as per merit on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Examination
- Number of candidates called for interview will be 1.5 times of the Final Vacancies in concerned subject and category
- Marks of TET will not be taken into consideration for preparation and publication of Final Merit List
- Final Panel will be prepared as per merit on the basis of total of marks obtained in Main Examination and Interview
- Number of candidates empanelled will be equal to the number of the Final Vacancies in concerned
subject and category
- Number of candidates in the Waiting List will be 0.1 time of the Final Vacancy in concerned subject and category
- No mark-sheet shall be issued to the candidates
- TET Qualified Certificate will be issued as per NCTE Guidelines and as per convenience of the West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission
- All questions in TET and Main Examination will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct
- Candidates will have to mark only one option out of 4 options. Marking more than one option of any question will lead to non-evaluation of that particular question
- There will be negative marking for wrong choice of option. One mark will be deducted for every 2 wrong answers
- A Candidate can apply for one category and in one subject only either for I-IV or for V-VIII or for IX-X or for XI-XII
- Providing incorrect or false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment process or even after recruitment. Legal action will be initiated against the candidates in such cases
- Candidates applying for Madrasah with particular language as medium must have that language of the medium as first or second or third language of at least 100 marks at any of the Secondary level or Higher Secondary or Graduation level
- Candidates finally recommended for Graduate Category of Posts (Classes – IX-X) or (V-VIII) will be eligible for Graduate scale of pay as applicable and NOT Post Graduate Scale of Pay, even if they have Post Graduate degree(s)
- Qualification will be as on last date of application
C.TEST CENTRES: Applicants will be informed of the Test Centres by Admit Card through Commissions website i.e., www.wbmsc.com
D. FEES STRUCTURE: Examination Fees (TET & Subject) is Rs. 500/- for candidates belonging to General/SC/ST/OBC category and Rs.250/- for candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped (PH) category
