Nomenclature of the post: Chief Commercial Manager
No. of vacancies: One (1) post in SAG/SG on deputation
Location: Corporate Office, Belapur, Navi Mumbal.
Deputation and Term of Deputation: 3 years, normal term of deputation. Extendable upto five (05) years.

Pay and Allowances
The officer will draw pay and allowances as per DOPT instructions, which would have been admissible to him/her from time to time on the Railways plus deputation (duty) allpwance.
Eligibility, Experience Specific Requirements:
IRTS Officer working in PML-14 or PML-13 of 7th CPC
or Commercial Department Executives working in other PSU in IDA scale EB (Rs.1,20,000-2,80,000)
OR
Officers of IRTS cadre of Indian Railways and working in PML-13 of 7th CPC with years experience or Commercial Department Executives working in other PSU in IDA scale E6 (Rs.90,000-2,40,000) with 15 years experience.
Minimum working experience of 15 years of service in Group A in Indian Railways/other Govt. Deptt/PSU.
The Chief Commercial Manager is the Head of the Commercial Department. The functions of the CCM include marketing & sale of transportation provided by the Railway, fixation of rates for RORO service, fares and other charges and their correct collection, accounting and remittance. The CCM is also responsible for maintaining friendly and cordial relationship with the travelling and trading public and redressal of their grievances.
He is responsible for monitoring all freight loading and its growth, marketing for additional freight traffic, demurrage & wharfage, freight rate and related issues like sidings, siding charges, shunting charges and other ancillary charges, development of Goods Shed and Freight Terminals.
Chief Commercial Manager also co-ordinate and deal with coaching services like passenger traffic, enhance growth in passenger traffic, catering & commercial contracts, parcel/Luggage, ticket checking, PRS & UTS, improving passenger amenities at the stations, coaching refund cases, RCT claims etc.

The date to which KRCL is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption:
KRCL has been permitted exemption from the rule of immediate absorption up to 31/12/2023. Further vide this office letter No. CO-13014(11)/2/2019-PERS dated 10/10/2023 proposal has been sent to Railway Board for granting exemption from the rule of immediate absorption.

1. Apropos Railway Board letter no. 2018/E(O)II/41/1 dated 08/02/2023, the application of officers working in Zonal Railways/PUS for deputation to Railway PSUs/Autonomous Bodies and all other Organizations will be forwarded with the approval of the Competent Authority in Ministry. Accordingly, all Zonal Railways/PUs are required to forward the applications of the officers to Railway Board well in advance, ie, at least 07 days prior to the last date of vacancy notice. KRCL will consider applications of only those officers whose applications are forwarded arded by Railway Beard.
