AGE LIMIT AS ON CLOSING DATE : ESIC recruitment 2023

Closing date of Online Application i.e. 30.10.2023 will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, essential qualification etc.

Upper age limit is relaxable for persons belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PwBDs/Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC Employees, Government Servants as under:

6.Other categories of personsIn accordance with the instructions and orders issued from time to time

1. NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP

A candidate must be either:

  • a citizen of India, or
    • a subject of Nepal, or
    • a subject of Bhutan, or
    • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
    • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

  • HOW TO APPLY: Candidates can apply online upto 30.10.2023 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED BY CANDIDATES BEFORE APPLYING ONLINE

  • Before applying online, candidates should scan their:
    • photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
    • signature (with black ink)
    • left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink)
    • a hand-written declaration (on a white paper with black ink) (text given below)

ensuring that the all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications as given in this Advertisement.

  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
  • The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged. (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb for applying.)
  • The text for the hand-written declaration is as follows –

“I,              (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

  • The above-mentioned hand-written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only. If it is written and uploaded by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid. (In the case of Visually Impaired candidates who cannot write may get the text of declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.)
  • Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges
  • Have a valid personal email ID and mobile no., which should be kept active till the completion of this Recruitment Process. ESIC may send intimation to download call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID and mobile no. before applying on-line and must maintain that email account and mobile number.

I.      APPLICATION REGISTRATION: ESIC recruitment 2023

  1. Candidates to go to the ESIC website www.esic.gov.in and click on the option “APPLY ONLINE FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST FOR PARAMEDICAL POSTS IN ESIC” which will open a new screen.
  2. To register application, choose the tab “Click here for Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
  3. In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing “SAVE AND NEXT” tab. Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify/ get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct prior to final submission.
  4. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the COMPLETE REGISTRATION BUTTON.
  5. The Name of the candidate or his /her Father/ Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates/ Mark sheets/Identity proof. Any change/alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
  6. Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘Validate your details’ and ‘Save & Next’ button.
  7. Candidates can proceed to upload Photo & Signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading of Photograph and Signature.
  8. Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
  9. Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before COMPLETE REGISTRATION.
  10. Modify details, if required, and click on ‘COMPLETE REGISTRATION’ ONLY after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
  11. Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment.
  12. Click on ‘Submit’ button.

(ii) MODE OF PAYMENT (ONLINE MODE): ESIC recruitment 2023

  1. The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.
    1. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
    1. After submitting your payment information in the online application form, PLEASE WAIT FOR THE INTIMATION FROM THE SERVER. DO NOT PRESS BACK OR REFRESH BUTTON IN ORDER TO AVOID DOUBLE CHARGE
    1. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated.
    1. Non-generation of ‘E-Receipt’ indicates PAYMENT FAILURE. On failure of payment, Candidates are advised to login again using their Provisional Registration Number and Password and repeat the process of payment.
    1. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online Application Form containing fee details. Please note that if the same cannot be generated, online transaction may not have been successful.
    1. For Credit Card users: All charges are listed in Indian Rupee. If you use a non-Indian credit card, your bank will convert to your local currency based on prevailing exchange rates.
    1. To ensure the security of your data, please close the browser window once your transaction is completed.
    1. There is facility to print application form containing fee details after payment of fees.
    1. Female candidates, Departmental Candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) and Ex-serviceman should provide the details of beneficiary account in which they would like to receive the refund viz. Beneficiary Name, Bank Name, Account Number and IFSC Code etc.

III.  DOCUMENT SCANNING AND UPLOADING

Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading of Documents

Before applying online a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given below.

Photograph Image:

  • Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.
  • Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face
  • If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows
  • If you have to use flash, ensure there’s no “red-eye”
  • If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
  • Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
  • Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
  • Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning.
  • If the photo is not uploaded at the place of Photo Admission for Examination will be rejected/denied. Candidate him/herself will be responsible for the same.
  • Candidate should also ensure that photo is uploaded at the place of photo and signature at the place of signature. If photo in place of photo and signature in place of signature is not uploaded properly, candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
  • Candidate must ensure that Photo to be uploaded is of required size and the face should be clearly visible.

Signature:

  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
  • The signature should be of the applicant and not by any other person.
  • The signature will be used to put on the Call Letter and wherever necessary.
  • If the Applicant’s signature on the attendance sheet or Call letter, signed at the time of the examination, does not match the signature uploaded, the applicant will be disqualified.
  • Signature / Hand written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.
    • File type: jpg / jpeg
    • Dimensions: 140 x 60 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality)
    • File Size: 10 KB – 20 KB

Left thumb impression:

  • The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.
    • The hand written declaration should be of the applicant and not by any other person.
      • File type: jpg / jpeg
      • Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)
      • File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB

Hand-written declaration:

  • Hand written declaration content is to be as expected.
  • Hand written declaration should not be written in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black or blue ink.
  • The hand written declaration should be of the applicant and not by any other person.
  • Hand written Declaration
    • File type: jpg / jpeg
    • Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)
    • File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB Scanning the documents:
  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (dots per inch)
  • Set Color to True Color
  • File Size as specified above
  • Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature/ left thumb impression / hand written declaration, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).
  • The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01.jpg or image01.jpeg Image dimensions can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon.
  • Candidates using MS Windows/MSOffice can easily obtain documents in .jpeg format not exceeding 50kb (photograph and hand written declaration) & 20kb (signature and left thumb impression) by using MS Paint or MSOffice Picture Manager. Scanned documents in any format can be saved in .jpg format by using ‘Save As’ option in the File menu and size can be reduced below 50 kb (photograph and hand written declaration) & 20 kb (signature and left thumb impression) by using crop and then resize option (Please see point (i) & (ii) above for the pixel size) in the ‘Image’ menu. Similar options are available in other photo editor also.
  • If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.
  • While filling in the Online Application Form the candidate will be provided with a link to upload his/her photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand written declaration.

Procedure for Uploading the documents

  • There will be separate links for uploading Photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand-written declaration
  • Click on the respective link “Upload Photograph / signature / left thumb impression / hand written declaration”
  • Browse and Select the location where the Scanned Photograph / signature / left thumb impression / hand written declaration file has been saved.
  • Select the file by clicking on it
  • Click the ‘Open/Upload’ button

Your Online Application will not be registered unless you upload your Photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand- written declaration as specified.

Note:

  • In case the face in the photograph or signature or left thumb impression or the hand-written declaration is unclear / smudged the candidate’s application may be rejected.
  • After uploading the Photograph / signature / left thumb impression / hand written declaration in the online application form candidates should check that the images are clear and have been uploaded correctly. In case the photograph or signature or left thumb impression or the hand-written declaration is not prominently visible, the candidate may edit his/ her application and re-upload his/ her photograph or signature, prior to submitting the form.
  • After registering online candidates are advised to take a printout of their system generated online application forms.

CENTRE OF EXAMINATION: ESIC recruitment 2023

While applying online application, candidate must select the centre in the application form in which he/she desires to take the exam.

  1. The examination will be conducted online in venues given in the respective call letters.
  2. No request for change of centre/venue/date/session for Examination shall be entertained.
  3. ESIC, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc.ESIC also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her own risks and expenses and ESIC will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature.No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate including SC/ST candidates for appearing in the examinations.Choice of centre once exercised by the candidate will be final.
  4. If sufficient number of candidates does not opt for a particular centre for “Online” examination, ESIC reserves the right to allot any other adjunct centre to those candidates OR if the number of candidates is more than the capacity available for online exam for a centre, ESIC reserves the right to allot any other centre to the candidate.

  • There will be negative marking at the rate of 0.25 marks to be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • ESIC reserve the right to introduce additional stage of examination which would be notified at suitable time, if considered necessary.
  • Qualifying Marks: – The Qualifying Marks in Written Online Exam will be 45% for UR Category, 40% for OBC Category & EWS category, 35% for SC, ST & Ex-Servicemen and 30% for PWD Category. The candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks out of 100 marks in the Test 1 i.e. Technical/Professional Knowledge having 60 minutes’ duration. Similarly, the candidates have to obtain minimum qualifying marks out of total 50 marks in the Test 2 – General Awareness, Test 3 – General Intelligence and Test – 4 Arithmetic Ability having 60 minutes’ duration.

PWD candidates, who are unable to type due to their disability, shall be exempted from Typing/Data Entry Test on production of certificate regarding physical limitation to type.

MODE OF SELECTION: ESIC recruitment 2023

The candidates qualifying in Phase – I Written Examination shall be considered for final selection on the basis of their performance in Phase – I Written Examination.

IMPORTANT NOTE: ESIC recruitment 2023: Paramedical and Nursing Staff

  • Reserve Category candidates, selected on their own merit without relaxed standards, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such reserve category candidates will be accommodated against the unreserved vacancies as per their position merit position in accordance with the instructions of Govt. of India.
  • Success in the examination confers no right to appointment unless ESIC is satisfied after such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects of appointment to the service/post.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES: ESIC recruitment 2023

  • Candidates must apply online through the website www.esic.gov.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected. To apply online visit our website www.esic.gov.in.
  • After submitting the online application, the candidates are required to take print out of the finally submitted online application and retain the same with them.

(c)     CANDIDATES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO ESIC EITHER BY POST OR BY HAND THE PRINTOUTS OF THEIR ONLINE APPLICATIONS OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENT. They will be required to submit printout of online application along with documents in support of their eligibility etc. at later stage.

  • THE CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO SUBMIT ONLY SINGLE ONLINE APPLICATION. However, if somehow, he/she submits multiple online applications, then he/she must ensure that online application with the higher “Application Number” is complete in all respects including fee. The applicants, who submit multiple online applications, should note that only the online application with higher “Application Number” shall be entertained by the ESIC and fee paid against one “Application Number” shall not be adjusted against any other “Application Number”.

(e)     APPLICATION ONCE SUBMITTED CANNOT BE MODIFIED. HENCE UTMOST CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO FURNISH THE CORRECT DETAILS BEFORE SUBMITTING THE ONLINE APPLICATION.

  • Candidates are advised to keep their personal email ID and mobile number active as all correspondences pertaining to exam will be communicated on email address and mobile number provided at the time of filling online application.

(g)     CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED IN THEIR OWN INTEREST TO APPLY ONLINE MUCH BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE AND NOT WAIT TILL THE LAST DATE TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF DISCONNECTION/INABILITY/FAILURE TO LOG ON ETC.

  • DOWNLOAD OF CALL LETTER – Candidates will have to visit the ESIC website for downloading call letters for online test. Intimation for downloading call letter will also be sent through email/SMS. Once the candidate clicks the relevant link, he/she can access the window for call letter download. The candidate is required to use (i) Registration Number/Roll Number, (ii) Password/Date of Birth for downloading the call letter. Candidate needs to affix recent recognizable photograph on the call letter preferably the same as provided during registration and appear at the examination centre with (i) Call Letter (ii) Photo Identity Proof as stipulated in clause (j) below and also specified in the call letter and photocopy of the same Photo Identity Proof as brought in original.
  • CANDIDATES REPORTING LATE i.e. after the reporting time specified on the call letter for Examination will not be permitted to take the examination. The reporting time mentioned on the call letter is prior to the Start time of the test. Though the duration of the examination is 1-2 hours, candidates may be required to be at the venue for about 4 hours including the time required for completion of various formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents, logging in, giving of instructions.
  • IDENTITY VERIFICATION – In the Online Examinations the candidate is required to submit to the invigilator for verification, the call letter along with original and a photocopy of the candidate’s currently valid photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter) such as PAN Card/ Passport/ Permanent Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazzetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph / Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with photograph / valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College/ University/ Aadhar card/ E-Aadhar Card with a photograph/ Employee ID/ Bar Council Identity Card with photograph. The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter, in the Attendance List and requisite documents submitted. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the Examination.

Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not valid id proof.

Note: Candidates have to produce in original the photo identity proof and submit photocopy of the photo identity proof along with call letter in the Online Examinations. Candidates must note that the name as appearing on the call letter (provided during the process of registration) should exactly match the name as appearing on the photo identity proof. Female candidates who have changed first/last/middle name post marriage must take special note of this. If there is any mismatch between the name indicated in the Call Letter and Photo Identity Proof the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination. In case of candidates who have changed their name,

will be allowed only if they produce original Gazette notification / their original marriage certificate / affidavit in original.

  • A compensatory time of twenty minutes per hour or otherwise advised shall be permitted for the candidates with locomotor disability and cerebral palsy where dominant (writing) extremity is affected to the extent of slowing the performance of function (minimum of 40%impairment).
  • The possibility of occurrence of some problem in the administration of the examination cannot be ruled out completely which may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In that event, every effort will be made to rectify such problem, which may include movement of candidates, delay in test. Conduct of a re-exam is at the absolute discretion of test conducting body. Candidates will not have any claim for a re-test. Candidates not willing to move or not willing to participate in the delayed process of test delivery shall be summarily rejected from the process.
  • Decision of ESIC in all matters relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate. No correspondence or personal enquiries shall be entertained by the ESIC in this behalf.
  • If the examination is held in more than one session, the scores across various sessions will be equated to adjust for slight differences in difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions. More than one session are required if the nodes capacity is less or some technical disruption takes place at any center or for any candidate.
  • ESIC would be analyzing the responses (answers) of individual candidates with those of other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong answers. If in the analytical procedure adopted by ESIC in this regard, it is inferred/ concluded that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/ valid, ESIC reserves right to cancel the candidature of the concerned candidates and the result of such candidates (disqualified) will be withheld.
  • Instances for providing incorrect information and/or process violation by a candidate detected at any stage of the selection process will lead of disqualification of the candidate from the selection process and he/she will not be allowed to appear in any ESIC recruitment process in the future. If such instances go undetected during the current selection process but are detected subsequently, such disqualification will take place with retrospective affect.
  • Process for Arriving at Scores – The Scores of Online Examination are obtained by adopting the following procedure:
    • Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.
    • The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores*

* Scores obtained by candidates in any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.

  • Test wise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal point upto two digits. Note: Cutoffs are applied in two stages:
    • on scores in individual tests
    • on Total Score

GUIDELINES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES USING A SCRIBE

The facility of scribe shall be given only to persons with benchmark disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arm affected-BA) and cerebral palsy, if so desired by the person. For other category of persons with benchmark disabilities, the provision of scribe can be allowed on production of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has physical limitation to write, and scribe is essential to write examination on his behalf, from the Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government health care institution as per prescribed proforma appended at Annexure – G. Person with Specified Disabilities covered under the definition of Section 2(s) of the RPwD Act, 2016 i.e. Persons having less than 40% disability and having difficulty in writing can avail the facility of scribe and/or compensatory time in the Descriptive Test/Objective Type Computer Test (who are unable to Type) subject to production of a certificate to the effect that person concerned has limitation to write and that scribe is essential to write examination on his/her behalf from the Competent Medical Authority of a Govt. Healthcare Institution as per proforma at Appendix-I of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment O.M. F. No. 29-6/2019-DD-III, dated: 10th August, 2022. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply:

  • In accordance with Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) O.M. No. 34-02/2015-DD-III dated 29th August, 2018 on the subject – Guidelines for conducting written examination for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the PwD candidates eligible for Scribe has discretion of opting for his own Scribe or request the Examination body for the same.

(ii) In case the candidate has opted to bring his own Scribe, the qualification of the scribe should be one step below the qualification of the candidate taking examination.

  • In case, subsequently it is found that the qualification of Scribe is not one step below the qualification of the candidate taking examination, the candidature of the candidate shall liable to be summarily rejected.
  • Accordingly, PWD candidates who are eligible for scribe can make a request to the concerned ESIC Regional Office for providing Scribe. The contact details of concerned Regional Directors will be uploaded on ESIC website at the time of holding Examination.
  • For eligible PWD candidates using their own Scribe in the above examination are required to submit ‘Scribe Declaration Form’ on the day of examination at Examination Venue.
  • The candidates eligible for scribe will be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour in the examination. However, PWD candidates other than having disability of blindness, locomotors disability (both arm affected-BA) and cerebral palsy shall have to produce requisite certificate at the time of Examination as given in Annexure-G for availing assistance of Scribe and/or compensatory time.
  • The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe at his/her own cost or they may make a request in the online application for providing of scribe by ESIC.
  • The scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the same examination. If violation of the above is detected at any stage of the process, candidature of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled. Candidates eligible for and who wish to use the services of a scribe in the examination should invariably carefully indicate the same in the online application form. Any subsequent request may not be favorably entertained.
  • A person acting as a scribe for one candidate cannot be a scribe for another candidate.
  • Both the candidate as well as scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further in case it later transpires that he/she did not fulfill any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the online examination.
  • Scribe should not answer on his/her own. Any such behavior observed will result in cancellation of candidature.
  • Only candidates registered for compensatory time will be allowed such concessions since compensatory time given to candidates shall be system based, it shall not be possible for the test conducting agency to allow such time if he / she is not registered for the same. Candidates not registered for compensatory time shall not be allowed such concessions.

(xiii) During the exam, at any stage, if it is found that scribe is independently answering the questions, the exam session will be terminated and candidate’s candidature will be cancelled. The candidature of such candidates using the services of a scribe will also be cancelled if it is reported after the examination by the test administrator personnel that the scribe independently answered the questions.

Guidelines for Visually Impaired candidates

  • Visually Impaired candidates (who suffer from not less than 40% of disability) may opt to view the contents of the test in magnified font and all such candidates will be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every hour or otherwise advised for examination.

These guidelines are subject to change in terms of GOI guidelines/ clarifications, if any, from time to time.

OTHER INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES: ESIC recruitment 2023

  (a)Candidates are not required to submit to ESIC either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. Copy of printout of online application must be retained and produced on demand.
  (b)ESI Corporation will not undertake detailed scrutiny of online applications for eligibility and other aspects at the time of written examination and, therefore, the candidature is accepted only provisionally. Before applying, candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification, age etc. and satisfy themselves that they are eligible for the post. When scrutiny is undertaken, if any claim made in the application is not found substantiated, the candidature will be cancelled and the decision of ESIC shall be final.
(c)Before applying, candidates in their own interest are advised to go through the detailed instructions contained in this notice and also available on the website of ESI Corporation (https://www.esic.gov.in/)
          (d)Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBDs/EX-Servicemen must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice and as per the instructions issued by Govt. of India. They should also be in possession of the certificates in the prescribed format of Govt. of India in support of their claim. Candidates claiming reservation/ age relaxation under OBC Category should possess the OBC Certificate as given at Annexure -”A” prescribed vide Govt. of India, Department of Personal and Training OM No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 15.11.93 along with Self Declaration to be given at later stage as given at Annexure “B” failing which the benefit of reservation or age relaxation will not be given. Candidates claiming reservation under EWS Category should submit the EWS Certificate given at Annexure – ”C” . Candidates claiming relaxation/reservation under Ex-servicemen Category should submit form of undertaking as given at Annexure -”D” .
  (e)ESIC Employees/Government Servants claiming age relaxation shall have to produce a certificate in the prescribed format annexed at ‘E’ from their office in respect of the length of continuous service which should be not less than three years in the immediate period preceding the closing date for receipt of application. They should continue to have the status of ESIC Employee/Government Servants till the time of appointment, in the event of their selection.
          (f)Ex-Servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Government in Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ posts on regular basis after availing of the benefits of reservation given to ex-servicemen for their re- employment are NOT eligible for claiming benefits of reservation under Ex-Servicemen category. However, they are eligible for age relaxation only. The period of “Call up Service” of an Ex-Serviceman in the Armed Forces shall also be treated as service rendered in the Armed Forces for purpose of age relaxation. For any serviceman of the three Armed Forces of the Union to be treated as Ex-Serviceman for the purpose of securing the benefits of reservation, he must have already acquired, at the relevant time of submitting his application for the Post / Service, the status of ex-serviceman and /or is in a position to establish his acquired entitlement by documentary evidence from the competent authority that he would complete specified term of engagement with the Armed Forces within the stipulated period of one year from the Closing Date, or otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency. Serving Defense Personnel shall have to produce certificate issued by the competent authority in the Performa given annexed at ‘F’.
(g)CLOSING DATE: The Closing Date for submission of Online Application through ESIC website www.esic.gov.in is 30.10.2023.
(h)The crucial date for determining the age limit, essential qualification and other criteria regarding eligibility for the post shall be the closing date of submission of online application i.e 30.10.2023.
(i)The post carries All India Service Liability and the candidates selected for the post are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
  (j)Candidates selected for the post will be on probation for a period of two years which may be extended at the discretion of the competent authority. He/She will have to pass the necessary probation clearance exam as may be prescribed by the competent authority for completion of probation and if he/she fails to clear the probation clearance exam during the period of probation, his/her services in the Corporation will be liable to be terminated.
  (k)Mobiles, other electronic gadgets and wireless equipments are banned within the premises of the examination centers. Their possession in switched on or switched off mode is considered by the ESI Corporation as a manipulative practice and will invite summarily cancellation of candidature, debarment from the ESIC’s examinations and/or criminal prosecution.

ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT

Candidates are advised in their own interest that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered with or fabricated and should not suppress any material information while submitting online application. At the time of examination or in a subsequent selection procedure, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of –

  • using unfair means or
  • impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or
  • misbehaving in the examination/ interview hall or disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of contents of the test(s) or any information therein in whole or part thereof in any form or by any means, verbal or written, electronically or mechanically for any purpose or
  • resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/ her candidature or
  • obtaining support for his/ her candidature by unfair means, or
  • carrying mobile phones or similar electronic devices of communication in the examination hall, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself/ herself liable to criminal prosecution, be liable:
    • to be disqualified from the examination for which he/ she is a candidate
    • to be debarred either permanently or for a specified period from any examination conducted by ESIC
    • for termination of service, if he/ she has already joined the ESIC
  • submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with.
  • Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information.
  • Intimidating or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by the ESIC for the conduct of examination.
  • To be ineligible for the Examination by not fulfilling the eligibility conditions mentioned in the Notice.
  • Candidature can also be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment for any other ground which the ESIC considers to be sufficient cause for cancellation of candidature.

ESIC’S DECISION FINAL

The decision of the ESIC in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of examination(s), allotment of examination centers, selection and posting of selected candidates will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

DISQUALIFICATION

No person,

  1. Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having spouse living or
  2. Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall be eligible for appointment to the said post.

Provided that the Director General of the Employees State Insurance Corporation may if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and to the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of these regulations.
