All the candidates having PG Degree (residing in India or Abroad) looking for PhD Programme are required to apply for this Entrance Examination except NET, SET qualified candidates within 5 years.
Candidates planning to pursue Ph.D. Programme (both Full-time / Part-time) in the University Departments, Affiliated Colleges and other Approved Research Centres of Bharathidasan University are instructed to apply ONLINE for this Qualifying Entrance Examination. Eligibility Criteria (Minimum Marks in the PG Degree): Bharathidasan University Ph.D Admission 2024
i. Candidates who have successfully completed a postgraduate degree under a regular pattern at a recognized university.
ii. 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / Person with Disability.
iii. 55% marks for all Other Candidates.
Procedure for admission: Bharathidasan University Ph.D Admission 2024
i. Students will be admitted to Ph.D Programme based on their performance in written test and Interview.
ii. A relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed in the entrance examination for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Differently-abled category.
iii. Students who secure 50% marks in the entrance test will be called for interview at a later date.
iv. The selection will be based on the entrance test with a weightage of 70% and 30% for the performance in the interview.
Candidates who are pursuing final year PG Course may also apply for this Qualifying Entrance Examination. The Pass Certificate (validity-5 years) will be issued only on production of attested copy of Cumulative Mark Statement ensuring minimum eligible percentage of marks in PG Degree.
a) Application shall be filled online from the University Website, submit it and then login to pay online. (https://rsm.bdu.ac.in/index.php/prePhd/OnlineApplication/homePage/home/2)
b) No Need to send any hardcopy to the office including the copies of certificates that are already attached in online application.

1. Application Fee (including 18% GST) : Rs.2,124/- (Rs.1,416/- for SC/ST candidates) : Rs.17,700/- (for NRI / Foreign candidates)

3. Online Examination; Date and Time : 10.03.2024 at 11.00 AM (Sunday)
4. Pattern of Question Paper and Duration : 50 Multiple Choice Questions (100 marks)-75 Minutes
