The Department of Dentistry, AIIMS, Kalyani invites applications for the following courses

1. Diploma in Dental Hygiene
2. Diploma in Dental Mechanics

Duration: 2 years (Regular- Full time)

Admission: January & July 2024 (Bi-annual)

Out of the total 04 (Four) seats for each course, distribution of seats will be as per constitutional reservations of the Government of India. This is as follows:

(Note: Incase a candidate applies for both courses, the application fees must be submitted separately. If applications are submitted for both the courses with single fees, AIIMS Kalyani has the right to cancel any one of the two applications)

Eligibility: Any Indian Citizen who has completed 10+2 standard with Science subjects i.e. Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English are eligible to apply for the course. Biology subject is must for eligibility.

Age limit: Minimum 17 years to maximum 30 years. (The age should be determined as per entry in the Matriculation or its equivalent certificate).

Age relaxation will be considered under following criteria:

• 5 years for ‘Physically Challenged’ candidates.
• 5 years relaxation for SC/ST category.
• 3 years relaxation for OBC category.

How to submit application form: AIIMS Kalyani Admission 2023

Applicants must complete the Application form (Annexure-I), attaching their passport photograph and signing across it without covering the face. Applicants must submit a scanned copy of the same via the online application submission link.

A hard copy of the filled application form must be submitted on or before 13th November 2023 by post/ courier/ registered/ speed post) to the following address:

In following situations the application will be considered invalid:

• If only online application submitted but hard copy not received within the last date.
• In no case, applications shall be entertained after the last date is over.
• Incomplete application forms, application forms not bearing the signature of the applicant
• Application forms without passport photograph or with photocopied photograph shall not be considered.
• Application forms without required certificates / documents.
• The Institution takes no responsibility for any delay or loss of application form or correspondence in postal /courier transit.
• Any type of canvassing related to any applicant during examination and counselling.

Selection Procedure: AIIMS Kalyani Admission 2023

Admissions shall be made strictly in order of merit which will be based on weighted marks i.e. 50% of total marks in the entrance examination.

In case more than one candidates have equal marks in the entrance examination, then the selection will be based on:

• The minimum wrong answers attempted
• Senior in age shall be given preference.

Decision of the competent authority is final regarding the selection.

List of documents (Photocopies of Original Certificates) to be submitted along with the application form:

1. 10^th Standard passing certificate.
2. 12^th Standard / Higher secondary passing certificate.
3. Caste certificate issued by the appropriate authority (for OBC and EWS candidate the certificate must be within validity period of one year).
4. Character Certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last attended.
5. The copy of Aadhaar Card.

Please ensure that the photograph fixed on the application form is recent and not taken more than 6 months prior to the date of application.

Rules of Admission: AIIMS Kalyani Admission 2023

1. The Diploma in Dental Hygienist and Dental Mechanics Courses are full time courses with two years duration, prescribed and controlled by the Dental Council of India. These courses are conducted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalyani. These courses and examinations are conducted in English language.
2. Admission to these courses is open only to Indian Nationals.
3. No stipend and accommodation will be provided by the institution to any candidate.
4. The candidate applying for these courses must have passed 12^th standard / Higher Secondary/ equivalent examination with Biology, Physics, Chemistry & English subjects, from any recognized institution of India.
5. Selection of the candidates will be done strictly on the basis of merit.
6. The candidates belonging to the following backward class categories i.e., SC, ST, OBC, will be required to submit the xerox copy of caste validity certificate at the time of submission of documents which will be physically verified at the time of admission process, falling which the category claimed, will not be granted and the candidate will be treated as an general candidate.
7. The counselling will be done as per merit list on scheduled date.
8. Medical check-up will be done at AIIMS Kalyani before joining of the candidates and the medically unfit individuals will not be allowed to join the course.
9. All certificates in original must be produced at the time of admission. If any disparity found in the original documents admission will be cancelled. Similarly any request for extension in period for submission of the same will not be entertained.
10. The selected candidates will have to give an undertaking in writing to abide by the discipline rules and regulations of the Institution.

12. All the candidates are instructed to visit the AIIMS Kalyani website on regular basis for any communications and further information. No individual communication will be made.
13. The selected candidate must join the Institution, on or before the date prescribed by the competent authority, failing which his/ her admission stands cancelled.
14. The student while studying in these courses, if found indulging in anti- National activities, unlawful activities or ragging in any form, contrary to the provisions of relevant Acts and Law enforced by Government, will be liable to be expelled from the Institution.
