Purba Bardhaman Jobs 2024 Para Legal Volunteer Posts. Applications are invited from the local residents in standard form along with two numbers of passport size photographs and one self addressed envelope affixing postage stamp of Rs.26/-, for selection of around 49 (forty nine) numbers of PLVs, who are willing to serve as a Para Legal Volunteer at Purba Bardhaman District under District Legal Services Authority, Purba Bardhaman.

The applicants should have the following qualifications to apply for the selection of Para Legal Volunteers

1. He /She must be a citizen of India.

2. The applicant should have a capacity for over all comprehension and should have mindset to assist the needy in society coupled with the compassion, empathy and concern for the upliftment of marginalized and weaker sections of the society. They must have the unflinching commitment towards the cause which should be translated into the work they undertake.

3. The minimum age for the selection of Para Legal Volunteer should not be less than 21 years as on date of advertisement.

4. Preferably the PLVs shall be selected, who do not look up to the income they derive from their services as Para Legal Volunteers but they should have a mind set up to assist the needy in the society.

5. The work of PLVs doesn’t carry any salary, remuneration or wage except honorarium (on the basis of performance) fixed by District Legal Services Authority, Purba Bardhaman from time to time, as per rules.

6. Preference :- Preference will be given to the following categories of applicants

 Teachers (including retired teachers).

 Retired Government servants and senior citizens.

 M.S.W students and teachers.

 Transgender

 Convicts

 Anganwadi workers.

 Doctors/Physicians.

 Students & Law Students (till they enroll as lawyers).

 Members of non-political, service oriented NGOs and Clubs.

 Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Maithri Sanghams and other Self Help Groups including of marginalized/vulnerable groups.

 Educated prisoners with good behaviour, serving long term sentences in prisons.

 Any other person whom the District Legal Services Authority or Taluk Legal Services Committee deems fit to be identified as PLVs.

7. The filled up application as per Annexure-I along with self-attested copies of certificates in respect of age, qualification and proof of residence along with work experience (if any) should reach the office of the District Legal Services Authority, Purba Bardhaman, Burdwan District Judges Court Compound (Top floor), P.O.-Burdwan, P.S. & Dist.- Purba Bardhaman, Pin-713101 on or before 29.02.2024.

Application should reach to the office by post within stipulate date and time. The applicant should submit their mobile/contact number in their application for further required communication, if any.

8. Incomplete applications will be rejected without assigning any reasons. No applications will be entertained after the last date fixed.

9. The decisions of the Selection Committee in short listing the number of candidate for interview and selection of PLV shall be final.

They will be selected as per relevant Scheme, in this regard.

10. Selected PLV shall be required to undergo training programmes as per decision of the District Legal Services Authority, Purba Bardhaman.

11. In case of any objection regarding selection of PLV’s the decision of the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Purba Bardhaman shall be final and binding to all concerned.

12. List of shortlisted eligible candidates, if any, will be notified in the Official Notice Board as well as uploaded in the official website of Burdwan District Judiciary i.e., https://districts.ecourts.gov.in/purba-bardhaman for interview.

13. Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify the candidate.

14. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
