Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Department of Food Technology: 02 post
Essential qualification:
Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject with specialization in Post Harvest Technology, Dairy Engineering, Technology in Food Packaging, Food Toxicology, Fundamentals of Nutrition, Food Product Development, Food ingredients and additives, Entrepreneurship in Food Industry or any other related to Food Technology. ii) The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the UGC like NET/SLET/SET, alongwith exemptions to specified categories as explained in the NOTE.
Desirable Qualification:For the post of Assistant Professor in Food Technology: Ph.D with specialization in subjects areas like Post Harvest Technology, Dairy Engineering, Technology in Food Packaging, Food Toxicalogy, Fundamentals of Nutrition, Food Product Development, Food ingredients and additives, Entrepreneurship in Food Industry or any other related to Food Technology.
Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Department of Geology – 02 post Essential qualification (a or b)
a) i) ) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant / allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET, etc.
Specialization: Structural Geology/ Economic Geology/ Geochemistry/ Palaeontology/ Hydrogeology/ Remote Sensing/ Petrology Desirable qualification: Ph.D. in any branches of Geology/ Applied Geology.
Assistant Professor (Contractual) the Department of Management – 01 post.
Qualification: (i) Bachelors degree in any discipline and Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance)/ PGDM (Finance)/ C.A/ ICWA/ M.Com (Finance Major) with First Class/ equivalent. (ii) Qualified National Eligibility Test in Management (NET conducted by UGC/ WBSET).
Desirable: (i) Experience of teaching/ research in reputed Institutes/ University/ Government Institution with evidence of published research papers. (ii) Knowledge of Computer Application (iii) Ph.D. in relevant discipline. (iv) Minimum two years of Professional experience after acquiring of Master’s degree.
Assistant Professor – (Contractual) in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology – 01 Post
Essential Qualification: (i) M. Pharm with 55% marks in Pharmaceutics specialization (ii) Minimum Five (05) years experiences in teaching Desirable Qualification: (i) Ph.D. in Pharmacy/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Pharmaceutical Sciences
Guest Faculty in the Department of Bioinformatics – 01 post
Minimum Qualification: MCA/ MSc-Computer Science/ MTech-Computer Science with NET/PhD and working experience in Biological data. Candidates with good knowledge of JAVA, Python, R, and SQL programming Languages are preferred. Specialization: Computer Science
Guest Faculty in the Department of Tea Science – 02 post
Qualification: Candidates possessing M.Sc. in Tea Science / Botany/ Zoology with 55% of marks. Candidates with NET/ SET/ Ph.D. (as per UGC guidelines) may be preferred.
NOTE
i) The candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in the same or in a relevant subject in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 are exempted from qualifying in the Eligibility Test (NET / SLET / SET).
ii) Candidates registered for Ph.D. programme prior to 11 July, 2009 shall be exempted from qualifying in the Eligibility Test (NET / SLET / SET) subject to fulfillment of the conditions as described hereinafter:
The award of Degree to candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye Laws/Regulations of the institutions awarding the Degree in the same or relevant subject shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET, subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:
a. Ph.D degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only. b. Evaluation of Ph.D thesis by at least two external examiners.
c. Open Ph.D viva-voce of the candidate has been conducted.
d. Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D work out of which atleast one must be in a refereed journal.
e. Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference / seminars based on his / her Ph.D work.
f. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-ViceChancellor/Dean (Academic affairs)/Dean (University instructions).
OR
1. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university / institution will a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) The Time Higher Education (THE) or (iii) The Academic Ranking of World University (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jia Tong University (Shanghai).
General instructions to the candidates
i) Candidates applying for more than one post will have to apply in separate Application Form meant for the purpose.
ii) Application fees: Rs. 1200/- fees shall be submitted through online mode only.
iii) Persons employed in Government/Semi-Government/Quasi-Government/Autonomous bodies should submit their application through proper channel. They may, however, send an advance copy of the application. Those who are unable to process their application through proper channel may submit a ‘no objection certificate’ from the present employer at the time to interview. However, they should also submit an undertaking to that effect along with the application form. No direct application from such candidates will be entertained.
iv) Age will be calculated as on the date of advertisement.
v) Incomplete applications, applications without uploaded copies of certificates, applications without the requisite fees, or applications received after the due date are liable to be rejected.
vi) The university shall reserves the right of rejecting any or all the applications without assigning any reason thereof.
vii) The university shall not entertain any application after the last date.
viii) The university shall reserve the right to cancel the process of recruitment to any category of the above mentioned post(s) without showing any reason whatsoever.
ix) Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview / in any other form of selection process. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The decision of the university in all matters will be final.
x) No formal correspondence from the candidates will be entertained in connection with the process of selection. Canvassing in any form will entail disqualification of candidature.
xi) Application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
