TN TRB Recruitment 2022: Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board, TN TRB has notified vacancies for 155 Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, and Junior Lecturers in SCERT and DIET under the State Council of Educational Research and Training for the year – 2022. The TN TRB application commencement date has not been released.

The maximum age of the candidates should be 57 years as on July 31, 2022.

TN TRB Recruitment 2022 vacancy details: 

This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 155 vacancies of which 24 vacancies are for the post of Senior Lecturers, 82 vacancies are for the post of Lecturers, and 49 vacancies are for the post of Junior Lecturers.

TN TRB Recruitment 2022 examination fee: 

The examination fee is ₹500 for OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC candidates and for SC/SCA/ST and differently abled candidates the application fee is ₹250.

Applications are invited only through online mode from eligible candidates for the Direct Recruitment for the post of Senior Lecturers / Lecturers / Junior Lecturers in SCERT and DIET under  the  State Council of Educational Research and Training for the year – 2022.

  • Reservations:
    • Vertical Reservation : 69 % Communal reservation will be followed vertically as per existing Government rules / Orders i.e., 18% shall be reserved for Scheduled Castes including 3% offered to  SCA  on preferential basis amongst the Scheduled Castes provided that if even after filling up of the required posts reserved for SCA amongst the Scheduled Castes, if more number of qualified SCA are available, such excess number of candidates of SCA shall be entitled to compete with the other Scheduled Castes in the inter-se-merit among them and if any post reserved for SCA remains unfilled for want of adequate number of qualified candidates, it shall be filled up by Scheduled Castes other than SCA. 1% for Scheduled Tribes, 26.5% for Backward Classes (other than Backward Class Muslims), 3.5% for the Backward  Class Muslims, 20%  for   Most   Backward Classes/ Denotified Communities and 31% shall be filled by all category on the basis of merit.

b)    Horizontal Reservations:

  1. Women Reservation: 30% Women reservation will be provided horizontally as per existing Government Rules and Orders. If qualified and suitable women candidates are not available for selection against the vacancies reserved for them, those vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to those respective communal categories.

ii)    Transgender Reservation:

The Transgender candidates who identify themselves as ‘Female’ shall be considered against both 30% reservation for women as well as 70% reservation for the General category (both Men &Women).

The Transgender candidates, who identify themselves as ‘Male’ or ‘Transgender’, shall be considered against the 70% reservation for General category (both Men &Women).G.O (Ms) No.90 Social welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme (SE8 (2)) Department Dated 22.12.2017.

C)   Reservation for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM)

  1. 20% horizontal reservation on preferential basis for persons studied in Tamil Medium will be provided as per existing Government Orders. For the post of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Junior Lecturer, candidate who claims reservation under PSTM (Person Studied in Tamil Medium) category has to submit Tamil Medium study Certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure 1&2) from 1st standard upto prescribed qualification for the post applied for i.e., 1 to 12th standard /Diploma, UG degree, PG degree, B.Ed., degree, B.P.Ed., degree, M.Ed., degree, M.P.Ed., degree or its equivalent as per G.O.Ms.No.82, Human Resource Management(S) Department, dated 16.08.2021.

Candidates who have taken other languages as Medium of instruction for learning and have written their examinations in Tamil language are not eligible for the PSTM reservation.

  1. Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) shall obtain the certificate from the Head of Institution where he / she has studied from 1st Std upto 12th Std / Diploma, UG degree, PG degree, B.Ed degree, B.P.Ed degree, M.Ed degree, M.P.Ed degree, must upload the evidence for PSTM claim in the prescribed format only otherwise claim will be rejected. The prescribed format as per Annexure I & II can be downloaded from the website of Teacher Recruitment Board http://www.trb.tn.nic.in.,
    1. Candidate who failed to upload the prescribed format documents as evidence for “Persons Studied in Tamil Medium” will not be considered for PSTM reservation categories even if they have claimed PSTM reservation in the application. They will not be allowed to produce their PSTM certificates during Certificate verification  unless they have already uploaded.
  2. Reservation for Persons with Disability: 4% reservation for Differently abled will be provided as per G.O. (Ms). No.20, Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (DAP.3.2) Department dated 20.06.2018.
  3. Reservation for meritorious Sports persons: 3% reservation will be provided for eligible sports persons in this recruitment for the post of Physical Education Lecturer as per G.O. (Ms). No.6, Youth Welfare and Sports Development (S1) Department, dated 20.02.2019, subject to the availability of suitable candidates.

3.      Age Limit:

4.      Educational Qualifications:

  • Qualification Criteria
  • Candidates who obtained a Degree (UG/PG) after undergoing a course of one year duration Double degree / Dual degree etc., are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.
  • Candidates who obtained any of the required qualifications (SSLC, HSC (or) its equivalent, U.G degree, P.G degree, B.Ed degree, M.Ed., degree or any other degree) simultaneously are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.
  • All the Educational qualifications should have been obtained on the date of this notification.

Important Note :

  1. Notified Posts are subject specific. Candidate should apply for the relevant subject. If a candidate claims that the educational qualification in the subject possessed by him/her is equivalent for which vacancies are notified, he/she has to upload and produce the subject equivalence government order issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu whenever called for.
  2. The candidates who want to appear either for all the three posts (or) two posts (or) any one post should apply separately and should remit the fee separately. But candidate should submit one application only for a subject for the vacancies that are notified.
  3. Candidates should acquire their qualification in the pattern (10+2+3+2+1 or 2+1or2)/(10+3+3+2+1or2+1or2) as per G.O.(Ms) No.107 Personal and Reforms(M) Department, Dated 18.08.2009. If not they will be disqualified.

6.  Conditions for Special Categories:

  1. Visually Impaired: Candidates should possess the certificate in prescribed format from the competent authority for one of the following:

(i) Total absence of sight in both eyes, or (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses or (iii) Limitation of the

field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degrees or worse. One-eyed Visually impaired persons cannot claim reservation against Visually Impaired category. Low Vision 40% to 70% (LV) and Visually Impairment 100%   (VI)   are eligible.

  • Orthopedically Impaired: Candidates with one arm (OA) / one leg (OL) / both legs (BL) claiming reservation under the differently- abled (Ortho) category should possess certificate in prescribed format from the competent authority for 40% to 70% disability.

7.      Community Certificate:

  1. Community Certificate should be obtained from the following authorities of Government of Tamil Nadu for candidates claiming communal reservation as the case may be.
  2. ST-Revenue Divisional Officer/Sub-collector (if the certificate is issued after 11.11.1989)
  3. SC/ SCA – Tahsildar of native taluk of the candidate.
  1. BC/BCM/MBC/DNC – Headquarters Deputy Tahsildar or Special Deputy Tahsildar of the candidate’s native taluk.
    1. The Transgender candidates, who do not possess any community certificate may choose to be considered under Most Backward Classes as per G.O.(Ms.) No.28, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, dated 06.04.2015 or under ‘Others’.

The Transgender candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe communities and possess community certificate as such, shall be considered as per their respective community.

The Transgender candidates who belong to the communities other than Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe and possess community certificate as such are permitted to choose to be considered as belonging to their own community or as Most Backward Class whichever is advantageous to them, at the time of online application itself.

Once the individual opts to be considered as a particular community, it shall be crystallized and this option shall not be changed in future.

Conditions :

  • Married Woman should possess Community certificate issued in her father’s name only otherwise the candidate will be considered only for General Turn (GT).
  • Candidates with the Community Certificate issued by other authorities from Tamil Nadu will not be considered for communal reservation.
  • The other State candidates (other than Tamil Nadu) claiming Community Reservation will be considered only for General Turn (GT).
  • The Transgender candidates shall upload and submit certificates identifying them as Transgender or Transgender (Male) or Transgender (Female), as the case may be, issued by the Tamil Nadu Transgender Welfare Board.

8.    Examination Fees:

a)The Examination fee should be paid at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment. (For others OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC (except differently abled candidates)Rs. 500/-
b)For SC/SCA/ST and differently abled candidatesRs.250/-
  1. The candidates have to pay the examination fee only through online by using net banking/credit card / debit card.
  2. The candidates shall also pay the service charges as applicable.
  3. Offline mode of payment in the form of demand draft / postal order etc., will not be accepted and the applications forwarded with such modes of payment will be summarily rejected.
  4. The application process is entirely online. No application in paper will be accepted by Teacher Recruitment Board.
  5. Failure to pay the prescribed fee in time, along with the online application, will result in the rejection of application after due process.
  6. Fees once remitted shall not be refunded or adjusted for future test under any circumstances.

9.    How to Apply:

  1. Candidates should apply only through online mode.
    1. Evidence for all the claims made in the online application should be uploaded at the time of applying alone.
    1. Any subsequent claim to upload documents, or corrections made after submission of online application will not be entertained.
    1. Failure to upload the documents while applying will entail rejection of application.
    1. Incomplete applications and applications without photo and signature and containing false claims or incorrect particulars relating to category of reservation / basic qualification/communal category / other eligibility criteria will be summarily rejected.
  • All candidates are instructed to go through the “Instructions to Candidates” carefully before filling the online application.
    • All the documents pertaining to eligibility criteria (Qualification, Community, Horizontal Reservation Claim, etc.,) to be duly uploaded in the portal along with the application itself. Uploading of documents will not be allowed, after the last date of application unless decided otherwise by the board.
    • Applicants should upload the required documents for proof in respect of all the claims made in the application with reference to this notification as and when called for. If the required certificates are not uploaded by the applicant, within the stipulated time, his/her application will be rejected after due process.
    • The candidates shall be permitted to make online correction in their following particulars ie., name, father and mother name, date of birth, communal category, differently abled category, PSTM, subject applied for post, Qualification details etc., Nationality and percentage of marks if any for prescribed qualification cannot be corrected. This facility will be provided only once and the announcement in this regard will be through Teachers Recruitment Board website only.

No change request will be accepted through off line mode ie., through application or by email etc., No correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Please note that no request for any change in particulars will be accepted under any circumstances after the specified date for online correction is over.

k) The board will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of non- acceptance of any correction / addition / deletion in any particulars once filled in the Application form, whatsoever the reasons may be.

Part A – Tamil Language Eligibility Test: (Objective type)

The Tamil Language Test (Part A) is a qualifying test and will be conducted as computer based examination

  1. For merit list, the marks obtained in Tamil Language Test will not be considered.
  2. Mark obtained in Part B alone will be considered for merit list as per G.O No. 121, School Education Department TRB, dated 01.07.2022.
  3. As per G.O (Ms) No. 49, Human Resource Management (M) Department, dated 23.05.2022, PWD Candidates are exempted from passing Tamil Language Eligibility Test.

Part B : Subject (Objective type) The question paper will be based on the syllabus for the subject hosted on TRB website(http://www.trb.tn.nic.in) as per Gazette No.232, dated 02.11.2015. The computer based examination will be conducted for the subject in the following medium only as per the table below.

For Minority medium subjects, the medium of examination will be in English only.

11.  Normalization of the marks:

The Computer Based Examination may be conducted in multiple sessions. Whenever Computer Based Examination is conducted in multiple sessions based on the same syllabus, same pattern for candidates having same eligibility criteria, the raw marks obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be  converted to normalized  marks. In case, the examinations are conducted in only one session, actual marks obtained by the candidates will only be considered for calculating the merit list for a subject. A candidate will be permitted to appear only in one session for a subject. Attending more than one session will automatically lead to disqualification of the candidature and no further correspondence in this regard will be entertained. In case of multiple session papers, the normalized marks alone will be published since normalized marks are the final marks for the candidates.

12 .Calculation of normalized marks for multi-session papers:

In case of multi-session papers, a suitable normalization is applied to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different sessions. The following Normalization formula for calculating the normalized marks for the multi-session paper is adopted as followed in various Competitive Examination in India.

13.   Selection Procedure:

The selection will be based on two successive stages viz.

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE)
    1. Certificate Verification (CV)

A.        Computer Based Examination:

  • The Date, Time and Centre for the Computer Based Examination will be indicated in the Hall Ticket/Admit card. The Hall Ticket for the candidates will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board in its website. The candidates are advised to refer to the Teachers Recruitment Board website(http://www.trb.tn.nic.in) for downloading the hall ticket/Admit card. No individual postal communication will be sent to the candidate.
    • The participation of the candidates in the Computer Based Examination is purely provisional and does not confer any acceptance of their claim in the online application.
    • Scribes: Visually Impaired candidates/eligible Orthopedically Impaired candidates will be allowed assistance of scribes based on the Disability Certificate /Medical Certificate submitted by the

candidates and existing rules.

  • Allotment of Centres:- PWD candidates only in their communication address. Others in any place since availability of centres are not uniformly spaced and numbers are limited.
    • Results: The    results of the   Computer   Based Examination   with
      • Roll Number wise mark list of all the candidates and initially marks will be sent to individual only 2) Roll Number of candidates short listed for Certificate Verification (CV) in 1:2 ratio based on Computer based examination marks & communal reservation will be released in the website of TRB viz.http://www.trb.tn.nic.in., by notifying about release of results in the Press /Media.
    • Resolution of Disputes related to Question paper, Answer key and Other Matters: Teacher Recruitment Board would publish the key on its website after conduct of the examination Any objections with regard to the key and any other matter shall be submitted within prescribed period after publication of the key in the prescribed proforma available in the website. Objections can be filed in dedicated link only. Mail, written representation will not be entertained.

The objections received in the prescribed proforma   and within due date will be referred to expert committee for opinion and to take appropriate decision thereon by the Board. As per decision of the Board a revised key will be hosted in the website. No further objections on original key will be entertained at this stage, except for the changed keys.

The decision of the Board in this regard shall be final. Any objection filled after expiry of specified time from the date of publication of key/revised key would not be entertained. For deleted questions, if any, marks will not be awarded in the recruitment examinations.

Evidences substantiating question wise expert opinion like expert details, book details like page number publisher etc., shall not be provided since these are confidential details and in order to ensure secrecy of the question paper setting process.

B).  Certificate Verification:

The Certificate Verification will be conducted for the short-listed candidates in the ratio 1:2. All the certificates possessed by the candidate should have been issued prior to the last date (cut-off-date) for submission of Online Application.

The Board will prepare the list of Candidates for Certificate Verification at the time of verification based on the actual Marks in case of single session paper or Normalized marks in case of multiple session paper if any duly following the communal rotation and other relevant rules in vogue.

Note:

  1. If more than one candidate secures the same cut-off mark for the particular communal turn, all such candidates will be called for Certificate Verification.
  1. Certificate Verification List and Certificate Verification Call letter will be published in the Teachers Recruitment Board website http://www.trb.tn.nic.in only.
  1. Short-listed candidates shall bring all the original and attested copies of all Certificates as stated in the Call Letter for Certificate Verification.
  1. Candidates needs to submit their original certificates of the uploaded documents. Documents not uploaded will not be entertained. They are liable for rejection.
    1. Candidates who are not personally present for the Certificate Verification on the prescribed date shall not be considered for further selection process even if they have secured the qualifying marks for selection.
    1. Certificate issued after the cut -off-date will not be considered and will be summarily rejected.

14.   Provisional Selection:

After Certificate Verification of the eligible candidates. The provisional selection list of candidates following the communal rotation on the basis of merit, will be published in the website of Teachers Recruitment Board viz. http://www.trb.tn.nic.in. Intimation to the provisionally selected candidates will not be sent by post individually.

The final eligibility of the candidates will be subject to the decision of Teachers Recruitment Board and the Board has every right to alter or cancel their results.   This provisional selection is subject to the verification of facts and all original certificates by the appointing authority.

Based on the verification, the appointing authority has every right to cancel the selection of the ineligible candidate.

15.  Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct :

Candidates are warned that they should not furnish the particulars that are false or suppress any material information while filling in the application form.

Candidates are also warned that they should in no case attempt to alter or otherwise tamper with any entry in a document or submit details based on tampered/ fabricated document. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy, in the application form, it will not be considered.

Without prejudice to criminal action/ debarment from writing TRB’s examination wherever necessary, candidature will be summarily cancelled at any stage of the recruitment in respect of candidates found to have indulged in any of the following:

  • In possession of mobile phone & accessories, Bluetooth devices and other electronic gadgets within the premises of the Examination centers, whether in use or in switched off mode and in person or otherwise.
  • Involved in malpractices.
  • Using unfair means in the examination hall.
  • Obtaining support for his/ her candidature by any means.
  • Impersonate/procuring impersonation by any person.
  • Submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with.
  • Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information.
  • Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/ her candidature for the examination.
  • Misbehaving in any manner in the examination hall with the Supervisor, Invigilator or TRB’s representatives.
  • Intimidating or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by the TRB for the conduct of examination.
  • Candidature can also be cancelled at any stage of the examination for any other ground which the TRB considers to be sufficient cause for cancellation of candidature.

16.  No Objection Certificate :

Persons who are in the service of the Indian Union or a State in India or in the employment of Local Bodies or Universities, or Quasi Government Organizations constituted under the authority of the Government of India or of a State in India whether in regular service or in a temporary service need not send their application through their Head of Department or Employer. Instead, they may directly apply to the Teachers Recruitment Board after duly informing their Employer in writing that they are applying for the particular recruitment and with the condition that they should produce “No Objection Certificate” in the form prescribed below, from an authority not below their Officer / Division Head at the time of attending the Certificate Verification. Note:

  1. Persons who get employment after the submission of their applications and before the receipt of intimation admitting them to the Certificate Verification

/ Oral Test / requiring produce original documents for verification should also produce the “No Objection Certificate”.

  1. In case any Criminal / Disciplinary action is taken against or if any punishment is imposed against such persons after the production of “No Objection Certificate” and before the actual appointment, such applicants should report this fact forthwith to the Teachers Recruitment Board indicating their Register Number. Any violation or failure to comply with these instructions will end in rejection of candidature.
  2. “Others” i.e. Applicants not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DNCs, BC (BCMs) who have put in five years and more of service in the State are not eligible as per Section 3(r) and Section 20(8) of Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016.

17.   General Information:

  1. Candidates should ensure that they have their scanned recent color passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG /PNG format of size  20-60KB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-30 KB) separately. The candidates have to upload their photo image and signature image while applying online. The online application uploaded without the candidate’s photograph or candidate’s signature will be rejected. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
    1. A valid e-mail id and mobile number of candidates are mandatory for registration and e-mail id should be kept active as all the communications will be sent to the registered email id only.
    1. If the candidate is applying for more than one post or subject, he /she should submit separate application form for each subject. In such cases the candidate should use different email ID and mobile number for registration. But a candidate can not apply more than once for same subject. Otherwise, his/her both applications will be rejected.
    1. Candidates to avoid upload of password protected copy of documents in which case applications shall be summarily rejected.
    1. Candidates to avoid scanning through mobiles as the documents uploaded are not clearly visible in majority of the cases.
    1. Applicants are advised to check the filled in online application along with the required scanned copy of documents as per annexure before finally submitting the same.
    1. Applications without the uploaded documents of 10th / SSLC Certificate, HSC

Certificate, both UG mark sheet & Degree Certificate, both PG mark sheet & Degree Certificate, both B.Ed mark sheet and Degree Certificate both M.Ed., mark sheet & Degree Certificate, and both M.P.Ed., mark sheet & Degree Certificate will be rejected.

  • In respect of recruitment to this post, the applicants shall mandatorily upload the certificates / documents (in support of all the claims made / details furnished in the online application) at the time of submission of online application itself. It shall be ensured by the applicants that the online application shall not be submitted without uploading the required certificates.
    • The onus is on the applicants to upload the relevant documents that is scanned copy. Any subsequent claim made thereafter on submission of online application will not be entertained at any cost.
    • The number of vacancies notified is only tentative and it is liable for modification with reference to vacancy position of user departments before finalization of provisional selection.
    • Possession or use of electronic devices such as Mobile phone, Micro phone or any other Associated Accessories, Calculator, Log Tables, Pager, Digital Diary, Books, Electronic equipment or gadgets, etc., are strictly prohibited in the Examination Hall. If any candidate is found in possession of any of these Devices /documents, candidate’s candidature is liable to be cancelled. Also, the candidate should not bring any valuables to the Examination Centre and the Centre shall not be responsible for their safe custody.
    • Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification for selection.
  • No candidate should misbehave in any manner or create a disorderly scene in the Examination Centre or harass the staff employed by the Board during the conduct of the Examination. Any suchmisconduct will be viewed seriously and penalized accordingly.
  • Candidates will have to bear their own expenses to attend the Examination and the Certificate Verification, if called for. No T.A./D.A. will be paid.
    • In the process of recruitment, the decision of the Teachers Recruitment Board is final.
    • The online application can be submitted till  5.30 p.m.  on  the last date of submission of Online application after which the link will be disabled.
    • All candidates are instructed to go through the Instructions to Candidates carefully before filling the online application.
    • All the documents pertaining to selection (Qualification, Community, Horizontal Reservation Claim, etc.,) to be duly uploaded in the portal along with the application itself. Uploading of documents will not be allowed, after the last date of application.
    • All the particulars mentioned in the online application will be considered as final and no modifications will be allowed after the submission of the application. Once an application is submitted, no further request for change of details will be entertained. Hence, the applicants are instructed to fill the online application with utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained.
  • It is the prerogative of the candidate to prove that he is eligible for the particular post beyond doubt. The onus of proving qualifications, community, date of birth, other special reservation claimed lies on the candidate only.
    • Mere submission of application and appearing in the examination, does not provide any right for provisional selection.
  • Representations :

Any representation, any query with respect to key and other issues shall be sent through the applicant’s e-mail only. Other mode of communication such as post, in person, whatsapp, etc., shall not be entertained by Teachers Recruitment Board.

  • After submitting the application, applicants can print / save their application in PDF format.
  • Applicants need not send the printout of the online application or any other supporting documents to the board.
  • Uploading Documents:

Applicants should upload the required documents for proof in respect of all the claims made in the application with reference to this notification as and when called for. If the required certificates are not uploaded by the applicant, within the stipulated time, his/her application will be rejected after due process.
