The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai launched the premiere show of the internationally acclaimed Broadway musical The Sound of Music on May 3. Nita Ambani, Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, arrived at the event in a beautiful sea-green floral maxi dress and spoke about her belief in the power of art to spread hope and happiness.
Several celebrities attended the event, including director Kabir Khan, actress Mandira Bedi, Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Kiran Rao, and TV star Nakul Mehta.
The five-time Tony Award-winning musical, produced and managed by Broadway Worldwide Group, celebrates music, happiness, and the human spirit’s triumph over conflict with its 1930s Austrian setting. The Sound of Music debuts not only the musical but also worldwide Broadway in India.
