Newcastle University Overseas Research Scholarship (NUORS) UK 2023. This award covers the difference between home and overseas fee rates (value to be determined for 2023/24. 2022/23 value approximately £14,004 to £22,104 per annum (depending on tuition fee band)).

Newcastle University is committed to offering support to the very best international students hoping to pursue a programme of research. We are pleased to offer a small number of University funded NUORS awards for outstanding international students who apply to commence PhD studies in any subject in 2023/24

Start Date : The awards are available for 2023-24 entry 

Award Duration : The award is valid for the normal duration of the PhD (not longer than 3 years)

Application Closing Date : 12 May 2023

Eligibility Criteria : Newcastle University Overseas Research Scholarship

You could be eligible to apply for a NUORS award if:

• you have been offered a place on a PhD research programme
• you have been assessed as international for fee purposes and are wholly or partially self-financing
• you intend to register to start your studies during the 2023/24 academic year

Applications for a NUORS award cannot be made for a course that has already been started by a student.

Applicants must already have been offered a place on a PhD research programme before applying. Applications made without this will not be considered. Additionally, applicants must be applying for a course of study based at our Newcastle Campus; courses based in Malaysia or Singapore are not eligible for this award.

How To Apply : Newcastle University Overseas Research Scholarship 2023

You must have already applied for a course and been offered a place to study at Newcastle University before you apply for a NUORS award.

Please complete the online NUORS application form in accordance with the NUORS regulations. You will also be required to provide details of an academic referee; the University will then contact your referee directly.
