ENGAGEMENT OF CONTRACTUAL TEACHERS AND FEMALE STAFF NURSE FOR THE SESSION 2025-26
Walk-in interview is scheduled for the following posts (Teaching Staff and Female Staff Nurse) for engagement in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas under Shillong Region purely on contractual basis for the academic session 2025-2026 or till the joining of regular incumbent whichever is earlier.

QUALIFICATION
Educational Qualification
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
A. Integrated Post Graduated Course from NCTE recognized institution, in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate including B.Ed. component.
OR Master Degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subject concerned.
AND B.Ed. Degree from NCTE recognized institution with at least 50% marks.
OR
Three years integrated B.Ed. M.Ed. from NCTE recognized Institution with at least 50% marks.
OR Four years Integrated degree with at least 50% marks from NCTE recogniard institution including B.Ed. component.
Master Degree in the subject
In Concerned subject or any specialization in concerned subject. Provided the candidate has studied concerned subject at Graduation level

REGISTRATION AND OTHER PROCEDURE:
The candidates who are willing to attend the walk-in interview should register themselves in the google-form in the link given below w.e.f. 10.04.2025 to 28.04.2025:

Candidates appearing for the walk-in interview should bring with them their original certificates, mark sheets and a set of self-attested photostat copies of the same, experience certificate and one recent passport size photograph and identifications proof like Voter ID, Aadhaar Card or identity card issued by Govt. Schools and colleges, etc.
iii. Before coming for the walk-in interview candidates should ensure that they have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria.
iv. Candidates found ineligible during document verification will not be permitted to appear in the interview (personal talk).
OTHER TERMS ANDCONDITION OF ENGAGEMENT ON CONTRACT:
- The Contract engagement will be purely on temporary basis up to the end of the current academic session ie. 2025-26 or till the joining of regular incumbent, whichever is earlier.
- The contract engagement will automatically stand terminated on expiry of stipulated contract period or till a regular appointee joins against the particular vacancy, whichever is earlier.
- The engagement will be purely on contract basis and the contract staff/personnel will not have any claim for extension of the Agreement or regularization of service in future in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
- The contract staff/personnel will employ himself/herself efficiently and diligently and will devote his/her whole time to the duties of the service and will not engage directly or indirectly in any trade, business or occupation on his/her own account.
- At the termination of the Contract, the contract staff/personnel are not entitled for any terminal benefits from the Principal or the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
- Notwithstanding anything in the Contract, the Principal may terminate the services of the contract staff/personnel before the expiry of the contract period or in case:
a. His/Her work is found unsatisfactory.
b. His/Her conduct is found to be unbecoming of a Govt. Servant and unsuitable for Co-educational residential Institution.
- The contract staff/personnel have to stay in the Vidyalaya campus. The contract staff/personnel is entitled for rent free bachelor accommodation within the Vidyalaya campus if and as available, and is entitled for free meals along with the students.
- The contract staff/personnel will have to perform duties in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at par with the regular staff and as per the directions given by Principal.
- In case the regular incumbent joins during contract period, one month remuneration will not be paid to the contractual staff.
- Candidates should report at the place of allotment with original certificates, mark sheets and a set of self-attested photostat copies of the same, experience certificate and one recent passport size photograph and identification proof like Voter ID, Aadhaar Card or identity card issued by Govt. Schools and Colleges, etc.
- The candidates offered contract appointment will have to execute a Contract Agreement on Rs.100/-(Rupees One Hundred only) Non-Judicial Stamp in the prescribed format before the Principal of the respective JNVs.
- Retired teacher upto the age of 65 years may be engaged subject to their fitness and willingness.
- Grant of Casual Leave to the contract staff/personnel during the currency of contract
a. Contract staff/personnel will be entitled of a maximum 8 days of casual leaves for the tenure of 10 months.
b. Contract staff/personnel will earn 1 day casual leave for each completed month of service.
c. The Principal is empowered to sanction 4 days casual leave in advance in special circumstances and in deserving cases.
d. Sundays/public holidays can be prefixed/suffixed to casual leave.
e. Sundays/public holidays falling during casual leave will not be counted as part of casual leave.
f. Casual leave can be taken for half day also.
- The maximum remuneration for 10 months will be paid. Further, the remuneration for short breaks will be paid only in the month of April on successful completion of contract periods. However, if the contract personnel is terminated due to joining of regular teacher, the above clause will not be applicable.
- Undertaking to the effect that no case or complaint of criminal nature is pending against him/her, should be submitted to the Principal at the time of joining. He/she will be liable to face action as deemed fit in case undertaking so given is found false/untrue.
