Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up purely temporary position of one Student Trainee for two months in the SERB project “Genome-wide identification and characterization of fusion event in different plant species” of Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, NIPGR.

The details of the positions are as under:

Student Trainee (One Post): Consolidated Emoluments ₹.5000/- per month (tenure only for two months).

Qualification:  

Candidate  currently  pursuing  the  B.Tech/B.Eng/M.Sc.  in  any  discipline  of  Life Science/BS-MS dual degree with biology as a major subject are eligible to apply. The tenure of the above position is only two months and is not extendable.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up purely temporary position of one Project Associate-I in the SERB project “Construction and Functional Testing of Genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 Library for Genome-editing of Seed Specific Genes in Indica Rice” of Dr. Hasthi Ram, Scientist, NIPGR.

The details of the position are as under:

Project Associate-I (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project.

Qualification:   Candidate having Masters degree in Life Science/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Botany or any other branch of life science and as per the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply.

Candidate having research experience in the area of rice tissue culture or plant tissue culture will be given preference. The Upper age limit is 35 years.

The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms.

The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.

NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position in the DBT funded project “Advanced Inter-institutional Proteomics Facility” under the supervision of Dr. Subhra Chakraborty, Director, NIPGR.

Principal Project Associate (One post): Rs. 49,000 + 24% HRA per month

Upper age limit:        40 years.

Qualification:

Candidates  having  master’s  degree  in  Molecular  Biology/Biochemistry/Plant  Science/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics or equivalent from a recognized university or equivalent with eight years’ experience after master’s degree in Research and Development in academic and industrial institution or science and technology organizations and as mentioned in DST office memorandum number SR/S9/Z- 05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply.

Candidates having prior experience in the area of LC-MS/MS, proteomics, qualitative and post translational modification proteomics, protein-interaction, multiomics and system biology will be given preference.

OR

Doctoral degree in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or equivalent from a recognized university or equivalent with four years’ experience after doctoral degree in Research and Development in academic and industrial institutions or science and technology organizations with at least one research paper in SCI journal can apply as mentioned in DST office memorandum number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020.

Candidates having prior experience in the area of LC-MS/MS, proteomics, qualitative and post translational modification proteomics, protein-interaction, multiomics and system biology will be given preference.

The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms.

The appointment will be valid up to March 26, 2023 i.e till the tenability of the project and the same can be curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.

NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. NIPGR reserve the right to relax any of the qualification(s) in case the candidate is found suitable / well qualified by the Selection Committee. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
