About the Conference

Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation has inspired generations, not just in India but all over the world to walk on the path of peaceful resolution of conflict. Martin Luther King Jr., Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Barak Obama, Aung San Suu Kyi are just to name a few who have acknowledged the influence of Mahatma Gandhi in shaping them.

We are living in a world which is divided increasingly day by day by global unrest, fear, anger, hatred, discontent, despair, immorality etc., and the number and intensity of ethnic and religious conflicts seem to grow, gaining higher and higher intensity all around the world.

Thereby, in this rapidly changing society the life and vision of Mahatma Gandhi is more relevant today than ever before, especially in the arena of peace and conflict resolution.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir, Nashik was established in the year 1952, under the dynamic leadership of Late Hon’ble Karmeer Bhausaheb Hiray, a committed freedom fighter, an ardent educationalist and former Minister for Revenue of Bombay Province. His son Late Hon’ble Vyankatrao Hiray, a great visionary, took over the responsibility of the institution in 1961.

Under his visionary approach, M.G. Vidyamandir started a number of schools and colleges imparting education from primary level to higher education, also technical and professional education. Since 1980, Hon’ble Smt. Pushpatai Hiray, Former Minister of Health, Govt. of Maharashtra, and Hon’ble Dr. Prashant V. Hiray, Former State Minister of Transport and Protocol, Govt. of Maharashtra have been efficiently managing the institution.

Hon’ble Dr. Aapoorva Prashant Hiray, Former MLC, Maharashtra State has been taking extraneous efforts to enhance the quality of education in the era of competitive globalization. At present, 110 educational Institutions ranging from primary level to postgraduate and technical to professional level are operational under his able leadership.

The devotional motto of the institute is “Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay” is to provide the educational facilities to the students coming from all spheres of urban, rural & tribal areas and to empower them to become successful, sensitive and responsible citizen likewise contribute and strengthen the Indian Democracy.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Loknete Vyankatrao Hiray Arts, Science and Commerce College, Panchavati, Nashik, is a leading Institute in Nashik ever since its establishment in 1971. The present strength of more than 6000 students reflects the academic excellence of the college, which is reaccredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC and has been recognized as the “Best College in 2016-17 by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

The college possess excellent infrastructure, highly qualified faculty who are performing creditable work in the field of research and extension are also appreciated by all the stakeholders.

Through this e-conference, we all, hence, take an opportunity to invite the eminent academicians, Gandhi scholars, Gandhi followers, researchers, peace activists and students to share and exchange their knowledge and views on “Platinum Jubilee of Indian Independance: Relevance of Gandhian Ideology”.

We envisage that the outcomes of this e-conference would be very fruitful to one and all similarly a contribution to nation building likewise will propagate peace & harmony gloabally.

All papers should be the original one and it should not be published in any manner before and after the e-conference.

All Authors and co-authors should write the correct affiliation inside the paper.

Research papers/articles for publication should be only in MS Office Words File (PDF format not accepted)

Font for English, Times New Roman, Size -12, Marathi & Hindi Unicode or ISM DV TT Surekh, Font size 14, Line spacing 1.5

It should be categorized in title Page (Title of Paper, Name of Author, Designation, Name of the College, Email Address and Mobile Number), Abstract, Introduction, Methodology, Discussion of the Findings and References.

Paper Submission Guidelines

Paper should be sent through e-mail in prescribed format to [email protected] on or before 30 October 2021 along with Certificate of Authorship/Originality form.

Late papers will not be entertained.

Papers should not exceed beyond 4 pages or 2000 words.

Papers will be published in an “E-book” with ISBN as chapters.

Publication Charges will be later intimated
