Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board Invites Applications For Student Scholarship. The Karnataka State Brahmin Development Board has invited applications from eligible community students for availing student scholarships under the Board’s Saandeepani Shishyavetana Yojane.
Presiding over the Pratibha Puraskar programme for Brahmin community students of five districts (Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, and Kodagu) organized at GSSS Educational Institutions at Siddarthanagar here yesterday, Board Chairman H.S. Sachidananda Murthy said that Brahmin students studying in classes from PUC to Post-Graduate degree can apply.
Under the scheme, each beneficiary student will get Rs. 15,000 scholarship. The applicant must have an EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate issued by the Government.

- Extending Scholarship to pre-matric and post-matric students to needy Brahmin students.
- Establish an agreement with banks to provide soft educational loans at low / zero interest rates to eligible Brahmin students seeking higher education in India and abroad.
- Providing Day Scholar/hosteller Maintenance allowance and Fee Reimbursement for eligible Brahmin students studying in school/ colleges.
- Appropriate notification will be issued regarding the application submission details.
The eligible community students can apply from today (Dec.14) till Jan. 15, 2021, he said.
Thereafter, all the applications received will be scrutinized till Jan. 21, following which the Scholarship will be distributed to the deserving applicants, he added.
