Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam Notification 2022 for Admission Ph.D. Admission to JNU is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Level Entrance Examination.

For Selection in Ph. D. through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, candidates are called for viva voce and final merit list is made with 70% weightage to CBT score and 30% weightage to Viva voce.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions.

To assess competence of candidates for admissions and recruitment has always been a challenge in terms of matching with research based international standards, efficiency, transparency and error free delivery. The National Testing Agency is entrusted to address all such issues using best in every field, from test preparation, to test delivery and to test marking.

The Jawaharlal Nehru University constituted under the Jawaharlal Nehru University Act 1966, (53 of 1966) came into existence in 1969. The approach of the University has been to evolve policies and programmes which will make JNU a distinct addition to the national resources in higher education.

Admission to JNU is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Level Entrance Examination. For details kindly refer to the e-prospectus 2022-23 available on JNU website.

The National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) – 2022 for admission to Ph.D. Programme for the academic session 2022- 23.

The Examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only as per details given below:

Candidates who desire to appear in JNUEE-2022 may read the detailed Information Bulletin hosted on https://jnuexams.nta.ac.in , www.nta.ac.in and the Prospectus available at University website www.jnu.ac.in carefully for eligibility, scheme/duration/timings/medium/fee of examination, syllabus, intake, reservation of seats, exam cities, important dates, admission procedure etc. before applying.

Candidates may apply online only at https://jnuexams.nta.ac.in// during the period specified above. The exam fee is also required to be paid online through payment gateway, using debit/credit cards or internet banking or Paytm.

1. What are different modes to apply for JNUEE 2022?

Ans: Application Forms can be submitted in online mode only on the website https://jnuexams.nta.ac.in/ The Application Form other than online mode will not be accepted.

2. Can a Final year/semester student apply for the exam?

Ans: Please refer to Section XXI on Page 101 of the E Prospectus available on www.jnu.ac.in .

Relevant portion is reproduced below:

“The candidates who are due to appear in their respective qualifying examination may also apply. In the event of their selection they will be entitled to admission only if they have secured the minimum prescribed percentage of marks in their qualifying examination and they submit all documents including final marks-sheet of the qualifying examination before the deadline fixed for registration.”

3. Can I submit more than one application for one level/programme?

Ans: You can submit only one application form for one level/programme. However, you can opt for upto 3 fields of studies within the same level/programme in the same form.

4. The subjects I want to apply for, are not shown in the drop down menu, in the online application form.

Ans: Subject list is as per JNU admission for 2022. Please check the E-prospectus hosted on JNU website. a) Whether the course of study you want to apply for is offered under JNUEE- 2022 or not and b) Whether there is intake in the said subject/s under the JNUEE-2022 category or not.
