Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) invites applications from suitable Indian Citizens to form a panel of Indian Studies (Political Science, History, Economics, Philosophy, Law, Buddhist Studies) and Indian Languages (Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu & Tamil) Professors for deputation at ICCR’s Chairs in Foreign Universities abroad.

About Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was founded in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, independent India’s first Education Minister. Its objectives are to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes pertaining to India’s external cultural relations; to foster and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries; to promote cultural exchanges with other countries and people, and to develop relations with nations.

Eligibility Criteria for Professors: Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)

Scholars/Academicians, Regular employees of Central/State Universities, with a maximum age limit of 67 years, having doctoral degree from a recognized Institution affiliated by UGC, with at least 8 years of teaching experience at Graduate/post Graduate level in a recognized University or national level institute, are eligible to apply.

The candidates should have adequate knowledge of English language as well as experience of delivering talks/orientation on History, Tradition, Art and Culture of India.

Q. Who is eligible for ICCR scholarship?

Ans. The applicants should be in the age group of 18-30 years i.e. should be not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age. However, the upper age limit for Ph. D courses is relaxable between 30 to 45 years depending on institutions to institutions.

Q. How do I apply for ICCR?

Ans. Applicants must be between the age of 18-30 years. Interested students may apply online though ICCR’s A2A scholarship portal which will be operational from 25th January 2022 till 30th April 2022.

Q. When can I apply for ICCR 2022?

Ans. The Opening date of ICCR A2A Portal for admissions is 25-January-2022. The Last date of application to be submitted by students is 30-April-2022.

Q. What are the courses offered by ICCR?

Ans. 6 subjects studied by foreign students. that includes: Agriculture, Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Business, Classical Indian Dance, Music, Commerce, Economics, Engineering IT; Indian languages, Law, Liberal arts, Management, Philosophy, Political Science, Yoga and so on.
