CUET UG 2023 Registration begins: Application Form Live, Exam pattern, dates. The chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) M Jagadesh Kumar announced that the online applications for the Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG)-2023 will start on Thursday night (i.e. 9 February 2023). The chairman of the UGC also released other crucial details regarding the conduct of the national-level examination.

About National Testing Agency

The Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self- sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent, and international standardized tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admission to premier higher education institutions with a mission to improve equity and quality in education by developing and administering research-based valid, reliable, efficient, transparent, fair and international level assessments.

NTA has created a system that is promoting teaching (by teachers), learning (by students), and assessment (by parents and institutions). NTA strongly believes in the quality, efficiency, effectiveness, equity, and security of assessments. To practice these values, NTA is constantly engaging with its stakeholders, viz. students, parents, teachers, experts, and partner institutions.

About Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2023)

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2023) is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities for academic session 2023-24 under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.

National Testing Agency has been mandated by the Ministry of Education and UGC to conduct Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission into Undergraduate Programmes in Central Universities under Ministry of Education, and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges.

CUET (UG) will provide a single window opportunity to students seeking admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organizations (including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities) across the Country.

For the Academic Session 2023-24, CUET (UG) – 2023 will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode as per the details given below:

The CUET (UG) – 2023 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

For Papers, Scheme, Timing, eligibility and other information, candidates are requested to please check the Information Bulletin of CUET (UG) – 2023 available on the website: https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ For CUET (UG) – 2023, the following is the scheme of examination:

Section 3 – General TestFor any such undergraduate programme / programmes being offered by Universities where a General Test is being used for admission.50 Questions to be attempted out of 60
Note: From the above subjects / languages, the candidate can choose maximum of 10 subjects from all three Section as given in Annexure 1.Examination will be conducted on multiple days in three shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and Subject choices.

Important Instructions: CUET UG 2023 Registration begins

  1. Candidates can apply for CUET (UG) – 2023 through the “Online” mode only on the website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
  1. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. In no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application Form.
  2. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ . Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
  3. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.

* For the three Central Universities of Sanskrit, the candidate studying any of the subjects in the field of Shastric traditional subjects i.e. Sahitya, Vyakarana, Phalitha Jyotisha, Siddhanta Jyotisha, Nyaya, Advaita Vedanta, Visistadvaita Vedanta, Dvaita Vedanta, Sankhya Yoga, Agama, Mimamsa, Puranetihasa, Dharanasastra, Rigvedabhashyam, Krishna Yajurveda Bhashyam, Shukla Yajurveda Bhashyam, Samaveda Bhashyam, Atharva Veda Bhashyam, Vastu, may select Sanskrit (220) and/orSanskrit (325) in the online Application Form of CUET (UG) – 2023. Also candidates are advised to select the subjects as per mapping of Universities.
