Knowledge on the dynamic properties of bridges in a city can improve condition assessments, inspection/maintenance scheduling, emergency planning and avoid catastrophic failure to better serve the public.

Traditional bridge monitoring involves instrumenting them with fixed high fidelity dense static sensor network and performing controlled tests to record vibration data.

Recently, mobile sensors (sensors on the moving vehicles, re-deployable sensors on the bridge) are emerging due to their advantage of high spatial resolution, less field instruments, huge cost-saving and feasibility under real-time passing traffic.

CSIR-SERC invites you to join this webinar to become aware of the mobile sensor technology for bridge health monitoring.
