Interested candidates are requested to appear in a walk-in interview on 23rd December, 2024 at 03.00 P.M. in the room of the Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Calcutta University, 35, Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata-700019 to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the project entitled “Regulation of the Subcellular Localization of Leghemoglobin during Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation in Lotus japonicus” funded by SERB/ANRF (DST, Govt. of India)under the guidance of Prof. Anirban Siddhanta of Dept of Biochemistry.
Tenure of the position is initially for one year and will be co-terminus with the project (19.06.2027).
Essential qualification: Calcutta University Jobs 2024 Junior Research Fellow
M. Sc. Degree with a minimum of 55% marks in any branch of Life Science.
Desirable:
NET/GATE qualification. Work experience in this area of Recombinant DNA Technology.
Age: Calcutta University Jobs 2024 Junior Research Fellow
The upper age limit for JRF is as per the existing UGC regulation; the age limit will be relaxed upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, women, physically handicapped and OBC applicants.

Fellowship and admissible allowances per month will be as per the sanction of the funding agency and also as per norms of this University.
