The Banaras Hindu University invites ONLINE applications from Indian citizen for following teaching positions on contractual basis to run different courses at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha (Mirzapur), BHU and in Main Campus, BHU.
Last Date for Online submission of Application form is 21-01-2025.
The engagement for the post of Teaching Associate/Teaching Assistant for the academic session 2024-25, which may be extended, if required.
The engagement on these positions are purely on contract basis. The candidates are requested to submit their duly filled- in online application form alongwith self-attested certificates/documents to the Office of the Deputy Registrar, Recruitment & Assessment Cell, Holkar House, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005 on or before the last date of submission of online application.,

For Teaching Assistant: E.Q.: (1) M.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in relevant subject; D.Q.: Teaching Experience For post code 02, 08 & 09: E.Q.
(1) Master’s degree in concerned subject. (2) NET/Ph.D.* (as per UGC regulation) in relevant subject. D.Q. Teaching Experience
For post code 03 & 04: E.Q.
(1) M.Sc.(Ag.) in concerned subject. (2) NET/Ph.D.* (as per UGC regulation) in relevant subject.
D.Q. Teaching Experience.
For post code 05: E.Q. (1) M.Com or first class MBA accredited by the AICTE/UGC. (2) NET/Ph.D.* (as per UGC regulation) in relevant subject, D.Q. Teaching Experience.
For post code 06: E.Q. M.Pharma (Ay)/M.Pharma Modern/M.Pharma Modern (Pharmaceutical Technology)
For post code 07: E.Q. (1) Master in a relevant/allied Management related discipline; or, two years’ full time PGDM in related discipline declared equivalent by AIU/accredited by the AICTE/UGC; or, First Class Graduate and professionally qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost and Works Accountant/Company Secretary of the concerned statutory bodies. (2) NET/Ph.D.* (as per UGC Regulations).
D.Q.: Teaching/Industrial Experience.
*Ph.D. is not essential for the post of Teaching Assistant.
Note: NET shall not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

General Instructions to the Candidates
- The engagements on the posts are purely on contract basis for specific work for the current academic session 2024- 25, which may be extended, if required.
- Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other criteria shall be considered as on last date of submission of online applications.
- In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University shall be final.
- The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post(s) at any time without giving any reason or may increase or decrease the number of posts.
- Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) will be provided at the Master’s level in case of SC/ST/OBC/ differently-abled candidates for Teaching Associates as per UGC Regulations and its subsequent amendments from time to time as per rules.
- The candidates should bring their original certificates/mark-sheets for verification at the time of walk-in-interview.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
